Thinking of switching to natural deodorant?
Antiperspirants use aluminum salts to temporarily reduce sweating. Choose aluminum-free deodorants to minimize unnecessary ingredient exposure and allow your body to sweat naturally.

Switching to natural deodorant can take a little adjustment, especially if you’re used to using an antiperspirant.

Step 1. Cleanse: Allow you body to adjust by cleansing with a charcoal based soap or body scrub such as Routine's Underarm Scrub which can help with the cleansing process. “detoxing”—your sweat glands are simply no longer being suppressed by aluminum-based antiperspirant.

Step 2. Gradually switch: do it on a weekend or "low pressure" days. This will give you a chance to see how your body responds. Give the product a try for at least 2 weeks.

Step 3. If it isn't working try a different formula or scent. Remember: deodorant ≠ antiperspirant natural deodorants generally help control odor, but they don't necessarily prevent sweat. Sweating itself is a normal way your body regulates temperature.

Our Tip: try the 5 gram sampler before committing to the full jar or stick! There are over a dozen scents to choose from.
