You don’t have to wait until you’re “in shape” to start.
This is your reminder.
I’ve been teaching Pilates for a few years.
I know the exercises.
I know the method.
I know what my body used to be capable of.
And right now?
I’m finding my way back there too.
This is the Russian Split. A classical Pilates Reformer exercise that asks for strength, control, balance, mobility… and a healthy amount of trust in yourself. 😂
Is mine perfect right now?
Nope.
But that’s kind of the point.
Pilates isn’t about showing up only when your body is at its strongest.
It’s about meeting your body where it is…
and building from there.
One class.
One exercise.
One shaky leg at a time. 😂
If you’re coming back after a break…
If you feel weaker than you used to…
If your body has changed…
If you’ve been telling yourself you need to “get in shape” before trying Pilates…
You don’t.
Start where you are.
Modify when you need to.
Focus on control over perfection.
And give your body time to remember just how strong it can be.
That’s the beauty of classical Pilates.
We’re building strong, capable bodies that carry us through life which has its ebbs and flows just like your body.
And occasionally we attempt a Russian Split. 😏
