The annual Thanksgiving Salvation Army Food Drive is this weekend!

The golf course is partnering with the Sturgeon Point Union Church to help support the food drive.

Weekend drop off locations will be at the Church Sunday October 12th from 10:30am - 12pm (located at the top of 6th street) OR anytime at the Sturgeon Point Golf Course on Sunday the 12th and Monday the 13th.

Why it matters:

The number of people using the Food Bank monthly has grown from 70 to over 300 in the past two years.
The Salvation Army provides a hot meals every Wednesday evening for 20+ people.
Here in Fenelon Falls, people experiencing homelessness is on the rise, with people living in cars & trucks and sleeping rough in barns, back of businesses and in wooded areas.
All donations will be much appreciated!

Since retirement from journalism and public relations, Ginny devotes her time to communicating the urgency of acting on climate change. After training with Al Gore, she qualified as a Climate Reality Leadership volunteer in 2017. She sits on the KL Environmental Advisory Committee and contributes to its Healthy Environment Plan. She is a founding member of Scugog Climate Action Now, Seniors for Climate Action Now, and writes the “Cool Tips for a Hot planet” column for the Lindsay Advocate.

The Kawartha North Family Health Team provides health care services to the communities of Fenelon Falls, Bobcaygeon, and Minden. If all goes as planned with funding, a new clinic will be opened in Coboconk.
