I WANT MY DAUGHTERS TO BE BRAVE AND THAT STARTS WITH ME.....

YOUtopia means the world to me, and so do the clients who put their trust in me. I adore you, and that made sharing this feel daunting.

I’ve debated posting this for too long — afraid of being judged, disliked, unfollowed or losing clients.

Then I asked myself: how can I teach my daughters to be strong, speak up when something is wrong and stand by their values if I let fear silence me?

Before sharing this, I asked my daughters if they were comfortable with it. It brings back an extremely difficult time in our lives, and their support means more than I can put into words.

We keep hearing stories of abuse, sexual violence and exploitation on what feels like a daily basis. It is terrifying and behind every story is a person whose pain deserves to be heard, whose safety matters and whose life should never be reduced to a headline.

Women’s rights matter. Victims matter. Justice matters.

We need to demand more from the systems that are supposed to protect us. That laws are enforced, reports are taken seriously, victims are supported and offenders are held accountable. We deserve protection and justice, and our children deserve a safer future.

We must rise. We must spread awareness. We must be brave enough to speak and listen when someone finds the courage to tell us what happened.

If my voice helps one person feel less alone, one witness come forward or one victim seek support, it matters.

Change takes enough voices demanding it — and action to follow. I’ll keep using mine. For every victim, Everywhere. ❤️

⚽️ WHAT COACHING U15 GIRLS TAUGHT ME…
I was asked to help coach Georgia’s U15 team &, with my schedule, agreed to help “on the odd occasion.”

That lasted 2 games🤣

After watching the girls struggle with positions, communication, confidence & getting slaughtered, Dana knew there was NO WAY I could just stand on the sidelines.😂

So I joined Sam, an amazing 19-year-old running practices & our other coaches 🙏

Having played rep soccer, I knew we needed to build STAMINA, STRENGTH, POSITIONING, COMMUNICATION and most importantly… CONFIDENCE.

Some girls were incredibly shy & fearful. What shocked me was hearing they didn't call out because they were afraid of sounding bossy, mean or offensive.

Using your voice doesn't make you bossy. Being direct doesn't make you unkind.

One mum told me I was a little “aggressive” because I pushed the girls hard & was loud.
She was right… I AM loud 🤣

I listened & explained that authority & loudness shouldn't automatically be confused with aggression. There's a difference between tearing someone down & challenging them because you believe they're capable of more.

Sport should be fun, but kids also need to learn it's okay to lose, fail, be corrected & TRY AGAIN

By game 4, we had a DIFFERENT TEAM

They communicated. They challenged. They stopped backing away. They started WINNING.

That same mum had one of our shyest, most fearful players. By the end, her daughter was scoring goals, challenging for balls & USING HER VOICE.
Her mum told me her confidence had skyrocketed, couldn't believe how much she LOVED it, thanked me & apologized for calling me aggressive. 😭❤️

This season reminded me:

WE NEED TO RAISE GIRLS WHO HAVE VOICES.

Girls who aren't afraid to take up space.
Who can respectfully disagree.
Who understand discipline, teamwork & respect.
Who know failure isn't something to fear.
Who support each other AND hold each other accountable

Kindness doesn't require silence or agreeing with everyone to keep them happy

Respect doesn't require agreement

Speak up.Be strong. Be respectful. Be YOU

Watching those girls finish the season stronger, louder & more confident than they started ?

That was the biggest WIN of all ❤
