✨ Strength Coach for Embodied Transformation
🌿 I help women move smarter, feel safer, and live stronger through strength, mindset, and nervous-system aware coaching.
➡️ Using movement as a tool for self-discovery, empowerment, and connection.

I think so many women know this feeling.

Looking back at an old version of yourself and feeling both things at once…

“Holy s**t, I did that.”

And also…

“I miss her.”

“I don’t look like that anymore.”

“I don’t know if I could do that now.”

And both get to be here.

The pride.

The grief.

The gratitude.

The tenderness.

Because sometimes we aren’t just grieving who we used to be.

We’re finally seeing what that version of us had to carry.

Maybe she was proving.
Maybe she was protecting.
Maybe she was surviving.
Maybe she was using strength as the only way she knew how to feel strong.

And that doesn’t make it wrong.

It makes it wise.

That version of you found a way through.

And now, with more awareness, more wisdom, more boundaries, and more truth…

you get to carry that strength differently.

Not from force.

Not from proving.

But from a deeper relationship with yourself.

So before you wish you were her again…

Pause

Feel

Notice

What does your body remember?

What wisdom did she earn?

What if you don’t need to go back to her…

Because she got you here?

You are still that powerful.

You just get to use that power differently now.

If this speaks to you, I’d love to invite you into my free Facebook group: The Movement Mirror for Women.

It’s a space where we use movement as a mirror to listen to our bodies, move into a new mindset, and support ourselves through the transitions and identity shifts of womanhood.

Comment “mirror” or send me a message and I’ll send you the link.

Can yawning really make you stronger?

Today my body said yes.

I came in ready to push, create, perform, and move with all the big energy I could feel rising in me.

But my body asked for something different.

It asked me to pause.
To soften.
To listen before forcing.

The yawning wasn’t weakness.
It was information.

A reminder that strength isn’t always about pushing harder.

Sometimes strength is being present enough to hear what your body is trying to say before your mind takes over.

I’ve started a free Facebook group called The Movement Mirror for Women, where we explore different tools to listen to our bodies in a new way and support the identity shifts we’re moving through.

If this resonates with you, I’d love to have you join us.

Comment YAWN and I will connect with you 🩵🙏🏻

It ended with Alix celebrating her confidence.

It ended with her noticing how strong and upright she feels in her body.

It ended with a memory of her husband, a song that brought him close, and the realization that movement has helped her move through grief, not by avoiding it, but by staying connected to herself through it.

Today, instead of only focusing on the outside cues of the deadlift, we asked:

What does this feel like inside your body?

And with each set, more awareness came through.

Strength.
Confidence.
Pride.
Posture.
Resilience.
Memory.
Love.

She shared how grateful she is that she started strength training at 68, because now, at 80, she can see how much movement has supported her physically, mentally, and emotionally.

This is why I believe movement is never just movement.

Sometimes a deadlift becomes a doorway into seeing how far you’ve come.

And this is your reminder:

It is not too late to start.
Your body is still listening.
Your strength is still available.

And movement can help you feel more capable for the life you are living.

I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself.

I’m Aimee Young, Somatic Strength Coach and founder of Living 2B Awesome.

I’m here to share honest reflections, movement inspiration, nervous-system-aware support, strength, balance, mobility, mindset shifts, and real conversations about feeling at home in your body again.

This season is about reconnecting, rebuilding self-trust, and feeling stronger, steadier, more capable, and more confident in everyday life.

If this speaks to you, follow along and comment CONNECTED if you’re ready to feel more at home in your body again.

I keep seeing this image of a mirror.

Not the mirror we’ve been taught to judge ourselves through.

Not the mirror that makes us scan, compare, fix, shrink, or perform.

A different kind of mirror.

The kind that reflects you back to yourself.

This is what movement has become for me.

A mirror for how we meet ourselves.

Where we hold our breath.
Where we brace.
Where we rush.
Where we grip for control.
Where we soften.

Where we realize we are capable of more than we thought.

And that’s the work.

Not to fix you.
Not to shame you.
Not to tell you who to become.

But to help you look within with enough safety, compassion, and honesty that what you see on the outside starts to shift too.

Because when your inner landscape changes… the mirror looks different.

Not because you became someone else.

But because you finally started seeing yourself more clearly.

Something shifts when you stop training like your body is a problem to solve.

You start to notice the way you speak to yourself in the hard moments.

You start to feel the difference between pushing from pressure
and moving from connection.

You start to realize that strength is not just about how much you can lift —
it is also about how much of yourself you can stay with while you lift.

The pause becomes powerful.

The breath becomes information.

The body becomes less of a battle
and more of a doorway.

This is where training becomes more than a workout.

It becomes a place to practice a new relationship with yourself.

From fixing to trusting.
From proving to connecting.
From forcing to feeling.
From all-or-nothing to meeting yourself in the middle.
From becoming someone else to becoming more fully yourself.

This is phoenix strength.

The fire.
The water.
The rising.
The remembering.

Not because you were broken.

Because there has always been more of you waiting to be expressed.

Which shift speaks to you most?

This is the heart of my work.

I don’t just see movement patterns.

I see nervous system patterns.

I see the way your body braces, protects, holds, performs, and tries so hard to do it right.

And yes, I love helping people move well.

Form matters.
Mechanics matter.
Strength matters.
Breath matters.

But what I have learned is this…

If we shift the way you move, but we don’t also shift the way you feel inside the movement, it doesn’t fully integrate.

It stays something you do.

Instead of becoming something you embody.

I am not here to correct you.
I am not here to simply fix symptoms.

Because I believe you are already doing so many things right.

My mission is to bring awareness to what is happening underneath the surface.

To help you pause.
Notice.
Allow.
Feel.
Choose.

So your strength becomes more than something you train.

Your confidence becomes more than something you perform.

Your growth becomes more than something you chase.

It becomes integrated.

It becomes embodied.

It becomes who you are.

Because movement is not just about changing your body.

It is about learning how to come home to it.
