A gentle reminder…

You don’t have to wait until you’re exhausted to make time for yourself.

You’re allowed to pause.
To do something just because you enjoy it.
To have an hour with nowhere to be and no one who needs anything from you.

Making time for yourself isn’t selfish.
It’s part of taking care of yourself.

Even a few quiet moments can make a difference. 🤍

Sooo… when was the last time you did something just for you?

There’s something about that first little hint of cooler air that makes me exhale a little deeper. 🍂

I’m definitely not ready to say goodbye to summer yet, but I have to admit… I’m starting to look forward to some of the little things that come with fall.

Crisp mornings. Cozy tea breaks. Candles in the evening. Pulling out a favourite sweater. And those quieter moments when staying in feels just as good as going out.

I’m looking forward to getting back into a little more grounding yoga, making space for quiet moments and embracing a slower rhythm as the season changes.

But for now, I’m happy to soak up every last bit of summer. ☀️🤎

Any other fall lovers out there who are starting to get a little excited? 🍂

Just wander.
Take the long way.
Notice what’s around you.
Let the moment be enough. ♡

Sometimes, the path really is the destination.

I just realized I never posted this… and honestly, it deserves a little spot in the grid. 🤍✨

Rachel Brathen was such a big part of what kickstarted my yoga journey and has continued to be an inspiration to me throughout the years.

This photo was taken during a trip to Aruba, where I finally had the chance to meet her in person. We had just experienced a beautiful meditation ceremony that she led, and I remember feeling so grateful to be there. 🧘‍♀️🌴

She was also very much preggers at the time - just weeks away from welcoming baby Lea Luna. And can we talk about how adorable she is?! 🥹💕

A beautiful memory, a beautiful place, and a little full-circle moment in my yoga journey. ✨

Sometimes, the answer is simply to stop overthinking it and trust yourself. ✨

Lately, I’ve been hearing from so many people experiencing changes in their relationships. Friendships shifting, family dynamics changing, romantic relationships evolving, and simply noticing when the energy within a relationship no longer feels the same.

Maybe it’s a season of change.
Maybe it’s simply the timing of life.
Maybe this is something many people are experiencing in this particular season of their lives.

Whatever the reason, changes in relationships can affect our emotional wellbeing in ways that aren’t always talked about.

When a relationship changes, it can be difficult not to question what changed, why it changed, and whether you should try harder to get back to where things once were.

But sometimes, the more someone tries to hold onto the old dynamic, the more emotionally exhausting it becomes.

Acceptance doesn’t mean not caring.
It doesn’t mean the relationship wasn’t meaningful.
It doesn’t erase the history that was shared.
And it doesn’t mean accepting behaviour that hurts you.

It simply means recognizing that no one can control how another person chooses to show up or where they fit in someone else’s life. It means accepting what you cannot control, while choosing what you will allow to affect your peace.

A person can honour what the relationship was, appreciate the memories, and still accept that it may look different now.

And sometimes, protecting your emotional wellbeing means gently stepping back from what no longer feels mutual, rather than continually trying to find a way back in.

Not every change needs to be fought.
Some simply need to be accepted.

And there can be peace in that. 🤍

Make yourself part of the plan. 🤍

You make time for work.
You make time for family.
You make time for everyone who needs you.

But somewhere along the way, you can forget to make time for 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧.

Not because there aren’t enough hours in the day…
but because you keep putting yourself at the bottom of the list.

So today, give yourself permission to pause.

Take the walk.
Sit quietly with your coffee.
Read a few pages.
Move your body.
Take a bath.
Say no without guilt.
Do absolutely nothing.

You don’t need a reason.
You don’t need to be productive.
You don’t need to wait until everything else is done.

You are worth making time for, too. 🌿

Most people know me as the face behind Embracing Zen Wellness.

What many don’t know is that I also work full-time in Human Resources.

I navigate deadlines, difficult conversations, competing priorities, and all the things that come with a busy professional life.

Wellness has been a passion of mine for many years, but it wasn’t born from having life all figured out. It grew from navigating my own challenges and discovering practices that helped me find my way back to myself.

That’s where Embracing Zen Wellness was born.

It wasn’t created because I escaped the stress of the real world. It was created because I wanted to share what genuinely helped me move through it with more presence, balance, and compassion.

The practices I share aren’t just for retreats or quiet mornings. They’re the same ones I return to on ordinary workdays, when life feels full and I need to reconnect with myself.

I believe wellness belongs everywhere… in boardrooms, on lunch breaks, in hallways between meetings, and in the small moments that make up our everyday lives.

Because peace isn’t found only when life slows down.

Sometimes it’s found in the middle of a very ordinary day. 🤍
