Fort Frances, THIS is your shot. Join us tomorrow evening for the Rainy River District Health Care Matters Community Town Hall at the Fort Frances Memorial Sports Centre OR Public Library's Shaw Room from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. and tell us how YOU feel about the local health system, what your experiences have been, and what matters most to you.

Actually, we have multiple ways you can contribute to the Rainy River District Health Care Matters public input campaign. This one just comes with free snacks and refreshments and like-minded people who want to get together for some guided conversations.

Fort Frances has two locations to gather and share. The auditorium is currently not accessible by elevator so we ensured a second simultaneous location at the library. You can attend either with your family and friends. Both will have the same speakers and facilitated discussions — and drinks and snacks for the duration.

Please spread the word. We want as many opinions and experiences as possible. That's how we make a difference.

Seeing the progress happening at Riverside is even more meaningful when we can share it with the community members who help make it possible. 💗

We were happy to welcome the Rainy River District Breast Health Network to LaVerendrye General Hospital to celebrate their support of our Lights, Camera, DIAGNOSIS campaign and share some exciting updates.

During their visit, they had the opportunity to see our new digital X-ray equipment up close and view the construction progress on our future MRI suite.

Thank you to the Rainy River District Breast Health Network for their generous contribution to the campaign and their commitment to local health care!

Are you due for a mammogram? Breast cancer screening is an important part of your health-care journey and we want to make it as easy as possible for community members across the Rainy River District to get checked.

Riverside Health Care still has dedicated time slots for Rainy River residents on October 15 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.; and individuals from Atikokan from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on October 26.

You are eligible if you are a woman between 40 and 74, have had no prior breast cancer diagnoses and haven't screened in two or more years.
