Please be assured that measures are in place to support clients with urgent medication or other pharmaceutical needs through healthcare professionals at the CMC and Regional Hospital, who can request assistance as required.

🚨 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁! 🚨
High temperatures are expected across our region this week. Being out in the sun for extended periods of time can be harmful and lead to dehydration and heat exhaustion. Keep yourself and your family safe with this heat safety checklist:

💧 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗞 𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗥𝗟𝗬: Don't wait to feel thirsty!
⏲️ 𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗧: your time outside during the hottest hours of the day (11 AM to 4 PM OR find shaded areas if you need to be outside.
☀️𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗟𝗬 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗦𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗡 𝟭𝟱 𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗨𝗧𝗘𝗦: before going outside, and at least every 2 hours.
🏃🏽‍♂️🏃🏽‍♀️𝗥𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗘 intensity/duration of physical activity. Listen to your body & cool down frequently
🚿 𝗖𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗕𝗢𝗗𝗬: Take frequent cool showers. Use cold cloths on your neck and wrists.
❤️ 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗖𝗞 𝗢𝗡 𝗩𝗨𝗟𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘 𝗣𝗘𝗢𝗣𝗟𝗘: Children, Elders, and those with health conditions need extra care. Ensure they are cool and hydrated.
⚠️ 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗦: Watch for signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke (dizziness, nausea, confusion, severe headache). Seek medical help if needed.
