Not every under-eye concern is a filler problem.

When the issue is herniated fat pads, baggy tissue, skin laxity or significant tissue descent, adding filler can sometimes make the area look heavier, puffier or more swollen rather than better.

Filler adds volume.

It doesn’t remove fat.
It doesn’t tighten loose tissue.
And it doesn’t magically change the anatomy creating an under-eye bag.

— What can help?

Depending on what’s actually causing your under-eye concern, options may include:

✨ Laser treatments
✨ Microneedling
✨ PRP / regenerative treatments
✨ Exosome-based treatments where appropriate
✨ Restoring volume to the cheek/midface rather than directly filling the bag
✨ Or, for some patients, a surgical opinion may be the most appropriate option

The goal isn’t to sell you filler.

The goal is to figure out what your face actually needs.

Your under-eyes deserve a plan — not a syringe.

Book a consultation with me and we’ll look at your anatomy, skin quality, volume and tissue changes together and discuss the options that actually make sense for your face.

Post-acne marks don’t have to become a permanent part of your skin story. 🤎

But here’s the part I wish more people knew…

Treating acne scars isn’t just about “filling” or resurfacing the skin.
It’s about understanding WHY the skin looks the way it does — pigmentation, inflammation, texture, collagen loss, oil production, and sometimes all of the above.

For this client, we used a series of treatments designed to work on multiple layers of the problem:

✨ Microneedling → encourages collagen + elastin and improves texture/scarring
✨ Skin-boosting ingredients → support hydration, post acne pigmentation, brightness + overall skin quality
✨ Peptides + antioxidants → help calm and support compromised skin
✨ A small amount of toxin placed superficially → can help reduce oil production and sweat, break down thickened acne scars, and soften the appearance of pores/texture in appropriate candidates
✨ Consistent skincare → because the work we do in clinic needs support at home

And the goal isn’t to make someone look like they’ve had “work done.”

The goal is healthier, smoother, brighter skin that still looks like YOUR skin.

Also… that “skin booster” you see in the slides?

NOT filler. 👀
It’s a hyaluronic-acid-based skin treatment designed to improve hydration and skin quality — not add volume.

Swipe through to see the progression → and pay attention to how the pigmentation AND texture change over time.

💬 Question for you:
If you could improve ONE thing about your skin right now — pigmentation, acne scars, pores, texture, or overall glow — which would you choose?

👇 Tell me your #1 in the comments.

And if you’re thinking, “Okay, but what would actually work for MY skin?” — that’s exactly what a consultation is for. 🤍

I accidentally ran my own sun protection experiment… and my skin still reminds me of it.” ☀️🔥

A few years ago on vacation, I forgot one of the biggest rules I teach my own patients…

Reapply your sunscreen. EVEN WHEN IT’S NOT HOT OUTSIDE! (22C!)

That mistake resulted in one of the worst sunburns I’ve ever had.

But something unexpected happened.

The only area that didn’t blister was where I had wiped the leftover Vitamin C serum from my hands onto my upper back before getting dressed (my daily AM skincare routine).

That experience sent me down the rabbit hole of photoprotection research.

Here’s what I learned:

☀️ Sunscreen is your first line of defense.
It helps prevent UV radiation from reaching your skin… protecting from 1/2 of all UV rays.

🧡 Vitamin C doesn’t replace sunscreen.
Instead, it helps neutralize the free radicals that UV exposure still creates—even when you’re wearing SPF (AKA, helps against the 1/2 of UV rays SPF can’t block!)

Together, they’re one of my favourite evidence-based combinations for helping reduce photoaging.

But here’s the bigger message…

The recent trend worries me.

We’ve somehow made skin damage look aspirational.

A tan isn’t a sign of healthy skin.
It’s your skin’s response to DNA injury.

A sunburn is simply that damage on a much larger scale.

Every blistering sunburn increases your lifetime risk of skin cancer, and even without burning, repeated UV exposure breaks down collagen, elastin, and contributes to pigmentation long before you notice wrinkles.

As an aesthetic nurse, I spend every day helping patients improve sun damage.

I’d much rather help you prevent it. I can’t take my 20’s when I’d tan for hours on end.
Now I’m battling advanced sun damage (AK) and Skin Cancer.

✨ My daily summer routine:
✔️ Broad-spectrum SPF 30–50+.
✔️ Reapply every 2 hours outdoors (and after swimming or sweating)
✔️ Morning antioxidant serum (like L-ascorbic acid/Vitamin C)
✔️ Sunglasses
✔️ Hat
✔️ Shade whenever possible

Your future skin is being built by the habits you have today.

Save this post before your next vacation, and send it to someone who’s chasing a tan this summer. ☀️
