How is Foot Canada Training different?👣

We make sure that our students are prepared for all of their IPAC decisions, whether they will be working in hospital or self-employed, or clinic-based or providing mobile care. They'll learn about the 3 reprocessing pathways and how to make the instrument choices that meet their needs, as well as care-setting design and equipment standards, and PPE. And as part of our commitment to the highest standards, we have included FREE access to the CSA:MDR of Critical Foot Care Devices course ($200 value) as a mandatory component in our Theory course.

If you don't need the full Theory course, but feel your knowledge on the most current IPAC standards needs an upgrade, then we have an IPAC Fundamentals course just for you.

How is Foot Canada Training different?👣

We are committed to giving our students as many opportunities as possible to practice their skills and increase their competency and confidence while supervised. Our hands-on training is a minimum of 4 days or 32 hours and students are provided with 13 patients (min). Why minimum? Because while the curriculum and assessments are standardized, our educators have flexibility in their scheduling and teaching styles, class sizes and locations. Allowing them to create the most dynamic and effective learning experience based on their location, their patients, their own teaching styles, and of course, the learning needs of the student. So you may get MORE hours and MORE patients and MORE practice.

When it comes to clinical training shorter hours, condensed content, video conferencing or self-monitored practice is not up to our standard. There is no substitute for hands-on learning from an experienced, trained educator. Be choosy.

All theory students receive FREE access to their learning materials and modules for a full year after they complete the course. Go back and watch that lower-limb assessment video, refresh your knowledge on diabetic foot care management...or re-download those risk assessment forms that you know you have saved somewhere on your laptop but just can't seem to find. 😉

How is Foot Canada Training different?👣

Created by nurses, for nurses... our Theory course is completely online and self-paced, which means you complete it as slowly or quickly as you want in up to 1 year, and there are no live components...which means you can squeeze in a lesson at midnight when you are on a shift break, with your coffee while helping the kids get lunches packed for school, or on a quiet Sunday morning when the house is finally quiet. Practice quizzes help you focus on the material that really matters and learn that crazy terminology, and videos can be watched over and over until you get it.

Our educators are all committed, experienced foot care nurses in their communities with skills and enthusiasm to share, in locations with ideal learning environments.
After a rigorous screening process they are provided with training in adult education theory and assessment techniques, standardized curriculum and resources, and ongoing support. You can expect the same high-level education and commitment to standards from every educator across the country.
