May Flower Moon 🌙 lots of reflection so I wrote this👇
From the embers of ceremony fire
An awakening hits like a burn
Lots of dreams surface, desire
A flow of healing, it's mother's turn

Motherhood is a precious crown
This queen had forgotten to mirror love back
She had worried so much about letting her kids down
She fought for their path, what about her path?

Can Mother's really put self care first?
Could I teach them love by loving myself?
Grandmother moon see why I hurt?

I want to blossom, grow into this new skin
My healing has given restoration
I can only teach my children
Set the example, self first preparation

I confuse selfish with self care
I must unlearn this toxic world view
Grandmother moon help me prepare
The flowers I want, are not the flowers I grew

Petals of lies that I could not shake
Leaves that withered from lack of tears
Stems lacking encouragement, bend, break
My creative colors were taken by fears

I must let myself be nourished
I need to let myself be watered, embrace sunlight
This will only help our family flourish
I embrace this time in my life

Grateful for the shift
Bring back balance of care and creativity
Grateful I am mom and remembering that is not my only gift
