We’re so happy to share that Bir Kaur Khalsa will be joining us at Homebody starting June 29th 🌿 She will be offering acupuncture starting every Monday.

Bir brings over 25 years of experience and a deeply compassionate approach to her sessions, blending Chinese Medicine, yoga therapy, zero balancing and more into care that feels grounding and supportive.

Her work supports more vitality, clarity and self-awareness, with a special interest in anxiety, depression, chronic pain and digestive health.

There’s a calm, gentle energy about Bir that feels so aligned with Homebody 🥰 She is really looking forward to sharing her work within our community.

You can find out more about Bir and book an appointment with her here at Homebody through her website www.warriorspirithealingarts.ca

Fascia is more than just “connective tissue.”

It forms a continuous, layered network throughout the body, woven around and through muscles, joints, organs, nerves, blood vessels, and other structures from head to toe.

It helps tissues slide and glide, helps transmit force, and plays a role in how different areas of the body adapt to one another. It also contains blood vessels and nerves, making it living, responsive tissue rather than passive wrapping.

Like many connective tissues, fascia can change under the influence of heat, sustained load, and time. This is part of why treatment is not just about applying more force, but about working with the tissue in a specific and intentional way.

Osteopathic treatment uses a detailed knowledge of anatomy to problem solve through the body. I assess how different tissues, joints, and regions are moving in relation to one another, rather than looking at each area in isolation.

The goal is to find where motion is restricted, understand how that may be influencing the body as a whole, and use treatment to support better movement and overall function.

~Here for the Heron Contest~

Moving Parts Osteopathy is now open at Homebody Wellness in Gananoque.

One of my favourite parts of the clinic so far has been the beautiful heron that spends much of the day fishing along the river. In honour of our unofficial clinic neighbour, I’m giving away a $40 gift card to Beggars Banquet Books.

To enter, follow the Moving Parts Osteopathy page, share this post and comment below with your favourite bird species.

I’ll randomly choose one entry on May 5.

Appointments can be booked here:

Osteopathy is a hands-on manual therapy guided by mechanics, anatomy, and physiology to assess and treat the body as a whole.

Rather than focusing only on where symptoms appear, treatment considers how different structures and systems relate throughout the body, including motion, compensation, arterial flow, venous return, and lymphatic drainage.

The aim is to reduce restriction, support function, and help the body heal and regulate more optimally.

Some people notice benefits such as less pain and tension, improved mobility, better circulation, improved sleep, and a greater overall ease of motion.

Questions about osteopathy or whether it may be a good fit for you?
