So this was my last official week at Salt Water Hair Salon. I have had an absolute blast making people pretty and solving the world’s problems here over the last DECADE (yes, I said it, decade). What started out as a solution for childcare turned into a wild ride. We’ve spilled the tea, the tears, coffee (mainly me), dirt (from plants and people), all the laughter, nasty tiktoks, music, ideas…everything. So now, I’m ready to move in a different direction. People will still leave feeling pretty and world problems will still be solved, just not on Phalen’s Road. The adventures continue at . That’s right, full circle to TWO DECADES ago. The only thing missing is donair scented yoga and my youth, LOL! I am so damn excited to be working with and and the rest of the fabulous stylists here. So buckle up, because I’m just getting started. Again. Xoxo

So when we gained a pandemic, I started losing my eyebrows. I don’t know if it’s related, but we’ll blame covid anyhow. So today, I bit the bullet and got my brows done. And when I say done, I mean semi permanent tattooing on my face. I was nervous, because, it’s on my FACE. For about two years. But grandmaster Brian Ho of .ca is truly a master at his craft. They were just done this morning, so they’re a little red, but holy hell I love them. I hadn’t realized how sparse my brows had gotten until they were done. Brian was amazingly professional and confident, his treatment rooms are immaculate, and it’s worth not having to spend the time and money (in products and monthly laminating) trying to draw on even brows every day. Unless you have experienced thinning brows, it’s hard to appreciate how huge a difference this makes. So check out his website, for this service and his other semi permanent makeup options!

Sharkbite is totally judging that blow dryer that you’re using from highschool. A good dryer makes a huge difference in the quality of your blow out. And your hair style last longer, just sayin.

I switch up my shampoo and conditioner A LOT. But there are some scents that I LOVE.
