Sleep is a basic human need. 💛

When we're well-rested, everything feels a little more manageable. When we're not, it's harder to regulate emotions, think clearly, cope with stress, and show up as the parent, partner, or person we want to be.

Swipe through for some practical tips to support better sleep and remember: taking care of your sleep is taking care of your mental health.

Did you know that up to 80% of new moms experience the baby blues?

Feeling emotional, tearful, overwhelmed, or like you're on an emotional rollercoaster in the first days after birth is incredibly common. The baby blues typically begin within a few days after delivery and improve on their own within about two weeks.

But if those feelings persist beyond two weeks, become more intense, or make it difficult to care for yourself or your baby, it's important to reach out for support. You don't have to navigate it alone.

I remember watching "Inside Out" for the first time at 3 days postpartum. An emotional rollercoaster was had!!

What was your experience with the baby blues??

A little milestone I'm really proud of… 💛

I'm excited to share that I've officially earned my Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) through .

As a Registered Nurse, Psychotherapist, I'm passionate about supporting parents through pregnancy, postpartum, birth trauma, infertility, pregnancy loss, and the many emotional challenges that can come with this season of life. This certification reflects my commitment to continuing to learn, grow, and provide the highest standard of evidence-informed care.

Most of all, I'm excited to keep building and expanding perinatal mental health supports for families across Northern Ontario (stay tuned 😉). Every parent deserves to feel seen, supported, and know they don't have to do this alone.

Thank you to everyone who has trusted me to be part of your journey and to those who've supported me along mine. It truly takes a village. 💛
