Congrats to my apprentice Cam Han on all the progress you've made these last 8 months. Every step you take is a huge stride, you're setting the bar higher and higher everyday, running with the knowledge and continuously refining your skills. I couldn't be happier with the progress you've made so far, you have definitely earned your place in my studio and are continuing make your mark in this industry.

Sad news for my family and I as we mourn the loss of a legend today. My father, Edward Matchim, moved on to the afterlife early this morning with our family by his side.

For our clients here at High Definition Studios, we will try to remain at your service. Although, through these difficult times, scheduled appointments will need to be moved around. As we make our way through this week, I and my apprentices will be reaching out to our clients who will be affected by these schedule changes.

If your appointment has been postponed by me, Jason Matchim, I will reach out to you with new appointment options soon. I will need a little time with my family first. For all appointments scheduled with Miranda and Cam, they will have available dates for you as soon as possible if your appointment is affected.

We will try to remain open, though our business hours will likely be random this week.

Our new custom rug with our center logo and text on the edges arrived a day early! We just finished laying it out and taping it down.

And we'd like to introduce you to the newest member of our team here at High Definition Studios. His name is Fred, doesn't say much, just kinda stands there staring at nothing all day. But he'll be modeling our High Definition merch, so if you like what he's wearing and want to buy some, let me know. He'll probably change clothes about once a week to show off our wide variety of merch.

Stop by Monday to Friday, 10 am to 5 pm, for merchandise, gift certificates, and to finally get that tattoo you've been putting off. Our team is excited to work with you!

Hello everyone, I would be very grateful if you could take a moment to nominate High Definition Studios and myself in the "Piercing and Tattoo" category. I am truly thankful for your continuous support and the trust you place in me and my apprentices. Without each and every one of our clients over the past 20 years, I would not be in this position today, nor would I have the privilege of sharing my knowledge of the tattoo industry with my brilliant apprentices, Miiranda Rose and Cam Han.

Yoooo! Cam Han with the portrait style piece and killin it. Apprentice with me since October 2025 here at High Definition Studios, and 3 months prior to that at another studio. Only 9 months of apprenticeship so far. We have a prodigy in the making.

This is where its at, folks. Send Cam a message for bookings, let's get him on his way towards a solid career as a realism artist. I would like Cam to do more "portrait like" pieces too, realism faces but NOT actual portraits. We will post up some ideas to choose from so Cam can practice this style on a whole other level!

I don’t have the opportunity to create portrait tattoos as often as I would like. When I do, I take the time necessary to carefully study and replicate the likeness of the individual in the reference photo. Tattooing itself leaves very little room for error, and with portrait work that challenge becomes even more significant. Every detail matters.
Being entrusted with something so personal and meaningful is never something I take lightly. It is always an honor to translate a cherished image into a lasting piece of art that someone will proudly carry with them for life.

Healed portrait i did a few months ago of a special young lady that is no longer with us physically. This one hit home very hard and was an emotional experience for both my client and myself. We can sometimes take for granted the time we have with our loved ones without realizing our time together is not forever. Please, for all of you out there, remember to hug your kids and tell them you love them. For tomorrow is not promised.

I'm so grateful to be able to do what I do, and I am grateful for each and every one of my clients. These 20 years of building my craft into what it is have been a journey with plenty of ups and downs, but I am still here and I still love what I do. I am always taking on new clients, and returning clients, so let's book a session!

Another shot of the Jesus portrait i did a few days ago. I would be satisfied if I could tattoo portraits and realistic life like faces all the time.
