The Quiet Support of Ordinary Life May 9 2026 Most of daily life happens without much thought. We move through familiar spaces, follow routines, and complete small tasks without needing to consider each step. The kettle is turned on, a drawer is opened, something is found, something is put away.

Making space

Often, the pressure we feel is not only from what we are responsible for… but from everything we feel responsible for.

Some responsibilities are clear.
Others quietly accumulate over time.

Expectations.
Unspoken roles.
Habits of helping.
Patterns of stepping in.

Without noticing, the path can become crowded with things that may not truly belong to us.

Clarity begins when we gently ask:
What is actually mine to carry?

How much are you carrying… that no one sees?
Many women carry responsibilities that were never clearly assigned… yet somehow feel entirely theirs.
Keeping things running.
Remembering what matters.
Holding pieces together for others.
Anticipating needs.
Managing details that no one else even notices.
Over time, the load quietly grows heavier.
This workshop explores where responsibility ends… and where peace begins.

Paying Attention to What is Emerging April 4 2026 We often think of change as something we must create through effort. We decide what needs to be different, make a plan, and then try to sustain the motivation required to carry it through. But not all change begins with force. Some change begins

As the image suggests, those unwanted voices will return from time to time.
The difference is that you get to choose how you respond.
The goal isn’t to silence the voice completely.
It’s to recognize it for what it is — and not give it the final word.
That’s the work behind
When Your Best Friend Isn’t You: Changing the Story You Tell Yourself,
an in-person workshop on March 14.

It’s a surprising moment
when you realize

you don’t have to keep believing that voice.

You can answer it differently.
You can loosen its grip.

That’s the work we’ll be doing together on March 14.

That “talking to myself” I mentioned the other day?

It’s rarely out loud.

It’s the quiet inner voice — the one that evaluates, second-guesses, and quietly keeps score.

I’ve done enough of my own work (and walked alongside enough women) to know this:
just because a thought is familiar
doesn’t mean it’s true.

And just because it’s harsh
doesn’t mean it’s helpful.

That’s the work behind
When Your Best Friend Isn’t You: Changing the Story You Tell Yourself
on March 14.

Learning to recognize that voice — and change the way we respond to it.

I probably shouldn’t be admitting this… but I talk to myself.
A lot.

Sometimes it’s just mulling things over.
And sometimes it’s criticism I would never say to anyone else.

On Saturday, March 14, I’m hosting a half-day workshop called
When Your Best Friend Isn’t You: Changing the Story You Tell Yourself.

If that inner voice has been harsher than it needs to be, you’re not alone.

Early-bird pricing is available until February 28.
