It sounds ridiculous when I say it, right? 😅
But this is genuinely a conversation I have with most women when they first start working with me.
They don't understand why they struggle with exercise so much. Why they feel so unmotivated.
So - they wind up blaming themselves.
"It's because I am lazy."
Or they think the solution is just sucking it up and pushing through. Being more committed or more dedicated. Finding the "right" program.
But, as we work together... we slowly start to uncover all of the rules that are actually keeping them stuck.
All of the boxes that they have to check for exercise to "count" or be "worth it". And all the ways that they have been taught that physically challenging themselves is scary, vulnerable, and something they have learned to avoid.
If you hate that this sounds familiar (like the voice inside your head), I want to gently invite you to attend my upcoming workshop
👉️When Exercise Feels Hard - Moving Beyond Fear, Shame & Self-Criticism
Tues June 30 @ 6:00pm EST.
I will show you how to see exercise differently.
How to get unstuck from all of the rules.
How to make exercise feel easy, safe and (dare I say it) even fun to do.
And how to stop blaming yourself. 🙅🏻♀️
