The Ontario Animal Health Network (OAHN) has launched its companion animal survey to gather clinical impressions from May through August.

If you're an Ontario veterinarian or registered veterinary technician practicing on companion animals, you’re invited to fill out the survey.

The Community Healthcare Partnership Program (CHPP) was formed in 2019, when the Ontario Veterinary College received an $11M gift from benefactors Kim and Stu Lang. The vision of the CHPP is to have made-vulnerable humans and animals in Canada enjoy better health, stronger social supports, and integration into their communities.

The Program brings together veterinarians, RVTs, and student veterinarians, to provide subsidized veterinary care to Indigenous communities, people experiencing homelessness, and sheltered animals.

You can claim up to ten credits per CE window when you volunteer!

Did you know, you don't have to wait until you graduate to complete the Professionalism and Ethics requirement to become an RVT?

The P&E workshop is one of the steps you need to complete to gain your registered status as an RVT. Any student member in their final year of a veterinary technology program or pending member are eligible to register for the professionalism and ethics workshop.

The workshop consists of interactive, scenario-based learning, and gives participants a more developed understanding of the professionalism and ethics required to be a registered veterinary technician.

The OAVT runs several virtual P&E workshops throughout the year. To register, participants must go to their member portal and select register for upcoming events.
