What a few months! This project pushed my event planning and marketing skills to.a whole other level. Organizing one event, much less 7 concerts with high-level musicians, was quite a feat.
Fortunately, there were 4 of us as part of a committee who brought our own skills, contacts and experiences to make it a shining event.
Series Passes and 4 out of 7 concerts were sold out, with under 10 tix left for the other 3 events.
Who said small venues for live music were dying?
If you're needing someone to help your small biz or not-for-profit reach your ideal audience, send me an email to [email protected]
I love seeing good folks who do good work to succeed in the most genuine of ways.
We could not have had such a successful event without our generous sponsors.
Let’s give a huge applause to:
- Revel Cider for providing delicious locally crafted beverages (www.revelcider.ca)
- Rachel Woodcock Design for her playful and pro-level graphic designs (check her out on LinkedIn)
- Heather B Warren of Confident Soul-utions for her marketing and event planning services: (www.csoul.ca)
- Wellington Chiropractic for providing free parking for the Series
- To our wonderful volunteers Emmett and Julian for their dedicated support in the space
- Christine Mills for her exceptional audio skills which made the music pop in the room
And last, but definitely not least, to the Tivy Harris Foundation for funding and believing in us. Their support allowed us to pay equitable wages to our musicians and offer the Series to the community at an affordable rate.
It takes a community to keep live music relevant and alive.
If you or your organization is interested in supporting our Cello-centricity Series happening in October/November in any way, then please send an email to: [email protected] or post a comment below.
Hope to see you in the fall, if not sooner.
