Full day wildcrafting and plant medicine making workshop at Vista Outdoor Learning Centre this Saturday from 9am to 4pm.

Come on out to discover the herbs growing wild in our woods and meadows, learn about their medicinal properties, and then put this knowledge into practice by making medicine with the herbs you harvested. This will be a lot of fun!

Come on out this Saturday and learn how to use and make your own herbal medicines with adaptogens. These herbs are amazing at supporting us through stressful times and helping us to find our way back to a healthier lifestyle.

We'll spend 3 hours discovering seven different adaptogens, what they do and how best to use them, before making potions with them for participants to take home.

The workshop will go from 2pm to 5pm at the Wildwood Medicinal Herb Farm in Haines Junction.

Cost is $85 and includes GST, supplies and ingredients for two 250ml medicine jars, herbal refreshments and a recipe card.

Don't forget to sign up for the upcoming workshop on adaptogens! They are foundational to general health and wellbeing and can help with many chronic issues with face in modern times. Come and learn about them and make your own adaptogenic medicine!

We've already had two amazing herbal self-care workshops this year and the third is yet to come! I had to postpone the February 28 workshop on adaptogens to Saturday May 23, so if you missed out, there's another chance!

Adaptogens are very popular these days and we will go over how they can help us with physical and mental stress, immunity, and hormone balance among many other things. These amazing herbs have several properties in common, yet have their particularities and special affinities as well. Come and learn about them, so you can choose the adaptogens that work best for you!

Each participant will be able to make two different potions (tincture or glycerite) with the adaptogens of their choosing. And as a little bonus, we will also go over how (and why) to make a dual extraction, a technique commonly used for medicinal mushrooms. Ready to come and make some healing potions?
