LungNSPEI provides programs and services to prevent & manage lung disease in NS and PEI. PEI Office: New location coming soon.

Nova Scotia Office: 6331 Lady Hammond Road #200, Halifax, NS. LungNSPEI was established in the early 1900's to control the spread of tuberculosis and to prevent this once deadly disease, which was the number one killer of Canadians. With over 100 years of service to the community, LungNSPEI continues to directly help people who live with lung disease. We offer a variety of lung health programs and services including Chronic and Infectious Disease, Tobacco Control and Environment.

Every fall, many people living with asthma experience what’s called the “September Spike”. This is a sharp increase in asthma flare-ups and hospital visits. 📈 Triggers like colds, changing weather, and back-to-school season all play a role.

👉 If you or your child has asthma, now’s the time to check in with your healthcare provider, review your action plan, and make sure medications are up to date. Let’s stay ahead of the September Spike!

Expanding access to life changing therapy!

LungNSPEI and TMED are proud to announce a new partnership to help improve access to PAP therapy for people living with sleep disordered breathing across Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.

Through this partnership, TMED is donating PAP devices, while LungNSPEI will coordinate access to the equipment for people who need it.

Together, we’re helping more people access the therapy they need to breathe easier at night.
