✨ Advancing Equitable Pain Care Together ✨
We kicked off by coming together for a powerful Pain Hive at the annual Children's Healthcare Canada conference, focused on improving pediatric pain management for children with neurodisability.
As part of a national initiative led by SKIP, this interactive Pain Hive featured presentations from patient and caregiver partners, health professionals, and organizational partners. Participants engaged in dynamic discussions to explore what’s working well in caring for children with neurodisability, and what needs to improve to deliver quality, equitable pain care for neurodiverse children and youth.
Accessibility in healthcare means ensuring every child’s pain is seen, heard, and treated equitably. This session brought patients, caregivers, clinicians, and system leaders together to move that vision forward.
As we reflect during , we’re reminded: building accessible systems means no child is left behind when it comes to pain care.
