🔍 Drug-free Type 2 diabetes remission IS possible!
Although this has been the foundation of my belief system and my services...
I am becoming more and more confident over time that IF you are ready to change...
Type 2 diabetes is BOTH preventable and treatable with the right lifestyle changes.
I've seen it happen - dozens and dozes of times!
This is no longer a theory, it's no longer a 'maybe'.
The evidence is real.
Type 2 diabetes does not have to be a life sentence.
While you can absolutely watch the video...
Here are some of my favourite highlights from this presentation by Dr David Urwin.
He basically started by saying this (as a physician in primary care):
'We were giving more and more drugs... but outcomes kept getting worse.'
That doesn't mean medications don't have a role.
But it does raise an important question:
🔍 What if we're not spending enough time addressing the underlying causes of high blood sugar?
Type 2 diabetes isn't simply a blood sugar problem...
It's a metabolic health problem.
📈 Elevated blood sugars damage blood vessels and significantly increase the risk of heart disease and stroke.
🧈 Excess fat accumulation in the liver, muscles, and other tissues can interfere with insulin signalling, making it harder for the body to regulate blood sugar effectively.
📈 Over time, insulin resistance often worsens unless the underlying lifestyle factors are addressed.
The encouraging news?
✅ Many people can dramatically improve their blood sugar control.
✅ Some people can reduce or eliminate medications under medical supervision.
✅ Some people can even achieve remission.
Research discussed in the presentation showed that remission is most likely when action is taken early after diagnosis.
In one study, people diagnosed within the previous year had remission rates approaching 77%!
This is SO important. Why?
Because too many people are told:
❌ 'This is just going to get worse.'
❌ 'You'll need more medication over time.'
❌ 'There's nothing you can do.'
But that's simply not true for many people.
The reality is that lifestyle changes can have a profound impact on metabolic health and with the right information, support, and a clear path...
HbA1c and other metabolic markers - triglycerides, fasting glucose, HDL, and blood pressure can be drastically improved.
Type 2 diabetes is not a personal failure.
It's a metabolic condition that often responds remarkably well when we address the root causes.
And whether 100% drug-remission is possible or not (based on the severity of insulin resistance and pancreatic function)...
Better blood sugar control, fewer medications, more energy, and a much lower risk of complications are all massive wins worth pursuing.
Have you ever been told that type 2 diabetes is inevitably progressive?
What are your thoughts on this?
