We work within the community, with partners and people, to create inclusive spaces

Communities thrive when its residents feel empowered and can access the services and resources they need and the opportunities that benefit them and the community as a whole. We work within the community, with partners and people, to cre

ate inclusive spaces and personalized programs to help people access what they need to move forward. We see the potential within each person we work with, and we draw on the power of the community to help make
lasting change. Our vision is to be a part of a thriving, inclusive community where everyone has equitable access to services and opportunity. Our mission is to find impactful solutions that help address a range of social needs in our community. As a community service hub, our mandate is to build connections and create spaces and programs that help people access what they need to move forward. HUB: A collective impact approach to improve service access and delivery in the
Eastern Chebucto Peninsula. Our Hub provides access to a central space to bring
services into the Spryfield area to improve service accessibility. Community Food Market: A universal access market bringing affordable fresh produce, eggs and bread to Spryfield and surrounding communities. Using a dignity first approach we provide an opportunity for residents to access nutrient dense produce at low or no cost them. Diagnosing Poverty - Prescribing Possibility: A partnership with community
health practitioners to connect patients who are struggling with poverty to our outreach team. Our outreach team helps residents connect to relevant community resources such as income, legal, food and housing supports. Pathways to Education: A wrap around program designed to increase graduation rates and post secondary success. The program uses one on one, academic, financial and social supports to work with grades 9-12 in the Spryfield area.

💗 Dolly, you really did know how to make an impact. 📚✨

With the recent passing of the one and only Dolly Parton, we’re reflecting on the incredible gift she’s shared with children through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Thanks to Dolly’s generosity, it costs us just $3.58 per child, per month to provide a free, age-appropriate book delivered right to their door. 📖💌 We currently provide books to 55 local children - that’s 660 books a year!

Dolly may have passed on, but her gift of imagination will keep growing. 💕📚Thank you, Dolly, for helping put books in little hands and big dreams in little hearts. 🌟

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free books to children from birth until they begin school in participating areas.
