My name is LM. I used to believe I was confined to an abbreviation.

I have a wonderful family and I live in a beautiful city on the shores of the Atlantic. I've travelled, I've been through 9 years of schooling after graduating high school in 1994. I've had several fascinating jobs and learned skills I never imagined I would or could learn. Through all of it, I have had to find ways to manage my mental health. I've been seen by various professionals off and on sin

ce I was seven years old. My medical charts are thick with paperwork suggesting my disorder is this or that. Endless pages of review of dozens of medications and therapy styles I've tried. That I was my diagnoses - my name came after what I "had" - and what I "had" made me a flawed, imperfect, shameful human being. It's been a long road to recovery and the beginning of understanding I am not a diagnosis. I'm a human being who has feelings, thoughts, ideas, opinions, desires and needs just like all other people do. My page is about sharing with others who I am - my authentic self - and also promoting good mental health practices, beliefs and to hopefully help in the massive undertaking of ending stigma against those with mental illness(es), men and women who have suffered in silence due to having been abused physically, emotionally, verbally, sexually or otherwise, and to end the discomfort of talking openly about these and other topics that need to be discussed, understood and empathized with. Please take note that this page frequently shares links to other pages, blog sites, webpages, etc in part of our effort to raise awareness not only of the conditions Lisa Marie struggles with but conditions other SN individuals do as well. Thanks for understanding!

Monday, Monday.

I honestly thought it was Friday. The last few days have been a lot for me. I messed something up pretty awfully and the guilt and shame is heavy and hurts. I didn't choose good healthy coping skills either. I hope I can do better in the new week ahead.''
