Last night in our Su***de Survivor group, hosted by Heartache2Hope, facilitated by Daniella and Peggy, and Belinda who is a facilitator of Labyrinth walks, we travelled through a sacred ceremony of giving and receiving while Belinda held space for all of us. ❤️🩹
I offered my guilt for the things I didn’t do for Larry. For the pivotal moments where I felt that I had failed him. Not having him join me one evening in Ontario when I was there overnight, not answering his call the night before, and not calling him back the day he decided everything was too much. The reasons why were sound, but still, the guilt persisted.
Four years of guilt. 💔
I offered all of it, and cried at the altar as I gave it up. I poured it all into the rock I was holding, and asked Larry to take it from me. ✨
In return, we were offered a gift. I took mine and when I felt ready, I walked out of the labyrinth.
It wasn’t until I was out and walking around, that I looked in the little bag and saw the rocks. One had Larry’s name, with an image painted above. A dragonfly. I immediately broke into sobs. Which eventually turned into laughter as I fully realized what he’d managed to do. 🐉
Our family had asked Larry to come back to us as dragonflies. He loved dragons, and of course this is the closest we could ask for. Unless anyone knows where we can find a mythical dragon? 😁
We came back in circle and I asked Belinda if everyone had a dragonfly. Maybe I was reading into this. Nope. Everyone had a different image. The woman who hand painted these rocks was only given our names and the names of our loved one. She is empathic and sat with this, and painted what showed up. 😌
You cannot tell me there isn’t magic in the universe. If you don’t see it, you’re not looking.
🐉✨♥️
