⚓️ HMCS HAIDA-Hamilton’s Historic Warship 🇨🇦

Some very cool history learned today about the surviving WWII Tribal Class Destroyer aka “Canada’s Fightingest Ship” She lives right here at Pier 9 in Hamilton! How fortunate are we to have a piece of history just down the road.

Nothing better than cheering on your friends at work! 🚘

Today we visited one of our members at his job at a local car dealership, and everyone had an amazing time exploring the cars and supporting a friend doing what he does best.

Employment , including volunteering, is about more than just work, it’s about confidence, connection, community, and belonging. We love seeing our members thrive and support one another along the way.

👮‍♂️We have the most wonderful community and that includes our community police officers! A special thanks to Ryan for coming out to our new location and brightening our day with some amazing examples of what are police force does for a community, and for his amazing sense of humor to boot🤣

So many have asked how to help. This is how. Rebuilding takes finances. Not everything is covered by insurance. Everything donated will go into getting us set up to continue to help families in a new spot, different format- whatever it takes and/or direct support to the clients we serve.
Believe me, we’d rather be serving than smouldering!

🔥Fire station Kenilworth 9🧑‍🚒 a big gigantic THANK YOU for THE coolest tour ever!

The firefighters were so fun, funny and engaging. We were able to see the whole fire station, truck, use the hose and realize how heavy all that gear is to wear!

We all had an amazing experience and learned the value of making the right pet choices so they don’t need rescuing and how to protect and conserve the environment where these guys naturally live! .junction
