I noticed this little "cave" in the ground and found a banded garden spider just chillin in her queendom. Spirit Animal Oracle says the spider reminds you of your power to co-create with Spirit and that now is the time when inspiration wants to be channeled. The message I received: feminine energy and matriarchy; the gorgeous woven framework; resilience and stability.

Early mornings: Morning Jolt! - an uplifting blend to help you feel energized
Anxious feelings: Conquor - a light blend thats uplifting and calming
Nighttime wind-down: Sweet Slumber - helps create a relaxing bedtime routine

When I first discovered essential oils, I was fascinated by all the possibilities. But looking back, there are definitaly a few things I wish I had known sooner!

1. More isn't always better: I used to think that if a little worked, then a lot must work better. But essential oils are incredibly concentrated, and safe dilution matters.
2. Natural doesn't mean safe for everyone: Essential oils can be powerful, but some aren't appropriate for certain people; medications, ages, etc. Learning about safety completely changed how I approach aromatherapy.
3. Essential Oils are much more than just "smelling good": There's an entire world of chemistry, properties, blending, dillution and application behind them. The more I learn, the more I realize how much more is still to discover.

10 years ago I was curious. Today, my curiousity has turned into education, and much deeper respect for these amazing plant oils. 🤍

What led me to Aromatherapy?

My interest in Aromatherapy actually started long before I ever imagined it would become part of my business.

In my early 20s, I remember buying a book about Aromatherapy and being fascinated by the idea that different scents could support us through different experiences in life. At the time, essential oils weren't something I really knew how to access, so that interest stayed mostly in the background.

Fast forward 15 years or so, essential oil parties through multi-level marketing companies started becoming popular. A friend invited me to one and I was immediatly curious. I already loved the idea of holistic living, cleaner products and finding natural ways to support my home and family.

I eventually became a representative but quickly realized that I wanted to learn more about the oils themselves, not just selling memberships and products.

Today, I'm continuing to learn and deepen my education through Clinical Aromatherapy training because I want to understand why we're using an oil, how to use it safely and how to create throughful, personalized blends.

It's funny how sometimes the things that interest us early in life have a way of finding us again. Aromatherapy was one of those things for me. 🤍

Join Just a reminder that we will be holding our Summer Circle this coming Sunday, August 16th along the shore of the Kennebecasis River at Jen G's house, located at 609 Norton Shore Rd beginning at 7 PM. This will be an evening of conversation, connection, meditation and, if the weather allows, a bonfire by the river's edge and hopefully a song or two. We will also be putting together a Nature Mandala and there will be a chance to pick up items along the shore and the property, but if you have any items such as stones, flowers, pinecones, etc. you would like to add, please bring them along.

As we approach summer's end, let's take time to slow down, reflect and simply enjoy being together.

Please bring along a lawn chair and/or blanket, and if you wish, a light snack to share. Also, please gather any items you would like to include in the mandala. In order for us to prepare, we would appreciate it if you can RSVP to confirm your attendance. In the event of rain, the event will be postponed to the following Sunday, August 23rd at the same time and location.

((Overheard at the market))

A woman pointed to my sleep section and said to her friend. "Things that say they help you sleep never work. If you can't sleep, you can't sleep" 🤣

Does my Sweet Slumber knock you out like a sleeping pill! Absolutely not

Does my Sweet Slumber help your mind relax, encouraging your body to relax enough to sleep? Yes!

Is aromatherapy the answer to all of our problems? No. But it does help support you along the way. I always encourage people to find the root cause of what they're experiencing. Root causes could be food allergies/sensitivities, stress, hormonal changes, and so much more.

Your mood doesn't have to be a mystery.

What if you could create a simple daily rhythm using nature's compounds to support your emotional well-being throughout the day?

Mood mapping with essential oils is about working *with* your brain's natural pathways — not against them.

When you inhale an essential oil, it travels through neural olfactory pathways directly to your brain, reaching the limbic system and influencing the chemistry that shapes how you feel.

Here's a simple daily protocol using four oils in your diffuser:

🌅 Morning (6–10 AM): Peppermint
Energizing and clarifying. Diffuse to support mental clarity and motivation as you start your day.

☀️ Midday (11 AM–2 PM): Lemon
Bright and uplifting. Citrus oils are known for creating neural pathways that support feelings of happiness, contentment, and vibrancy — helping you see the bright side.

🌤️ Afternoon (3–6 PM): Cedarwood
Grounding and centering. Use this during the transition from work to home to help calm the mind and create emotional balance.

🌙 Evening (7–9 PM): Lavender
Calming and restorative. Diffuse before bed to support relaxation and prepare your brain for rest.

You're not just masking emotions — you're giving your brain plant compounds that interact with neurotransmitter pathways at a biochemical level.

This is aromatherapy as a tool for emotional wellness, rooted in how your brain actually works.

Try this rhythm for one week and notice what shifts.
