💜 Meet the Hearts: Hannah 💜
Today, we’d love you to meet Hannah, one of the wonderful Hearts who brings kindness, compassion and genuine connection to the people she cares for. 💜
Hannah grew up in Summerville, “down the shore,” and has always loved the country life and the peace that comes from being surrounded by the ocean, forests and open spaces. She says the Annapolis Valley has such a strong sense of community that, no matter where life takes you, it always feels like home.
Her journey into caregiving began with someone very special — her great-nanny.
As her great-nanny neared the end of her life, Hannah had the opportunity to support her through that difficult season. Although losing her was incredibly hard, the experience showed Hannah just how much comfort, dignity and compassionate care can mean to someone and to their family.
She knew then that caregiving was something she wanted to pursue.
One of Hannah’s favourite parts of caring for seniors in their own homes is the relationships that develop.
“Every client has a unique story, and it’s a privilege to be a small part of their journey.”
And something the seniors she has cared for have taught her has stayed with her:
“Sometimes people aren’t trying to give you a hard time, they’re simply having a hard time.”
That perspective has helped Hannah become more patient, understanding and compassionate — and honestly, what a powerful reminder that is for all of us. 💜
To Hannah, being part of R&G means being surrounded by people who genuinely care. She is proud to be part of a team that leads with compassion, treats clients and staff with respect, and puts people first.
When we asked Hannah what makes someone a great caregiver, her answer was beautiful:
Kindness. Respect. Dignity. Compassion.
And, just as importantly, being present, listening and treating every person the way you would want your own family treated.
When Hannah isn’t wearing her caregiver hat, you’ll often find her spending time with her family or behind her camera. 📸
Many people may not know that Hannah also owns and operates her own photography business, where she gets to capture milestones and special memories for families.
And I think that says something pretty special about Hannah — whether she’s caring for someone or capturing an important moment in someone’s life, she has a gift for making meaningful connections.
If she could describe R&G in three words, Hannah chose:
Dedicated. Reliable. Compassionate.
Three words that we’re pretty darn proud to have associated with our team. 💜
Hannah, we’re so grateful you’re one of our Hearts. Thank you for bringing your caring heart, your patience, your compassion and your beautiful perspective to the families we serve.
We’re very lucky to have you. 💜
