💜 Meet the Hearts: Hannah 💜

Today, we’d love you to meet Hannah, one of the wonderful Hearts who brings kindness, compassion and genuine connection to the people she cares for. 💜

Hannah grew up in Summerville, “down the shore,” and has always loved the country life and the peace that comes from being surrounded by the ocean, forests and open spaces. She says the Annapolis Valley has such a strong sense of community that, no matter where life takes you, it always feels like home.

Her journey into caregiving began with someone very special — her great-nanny.

As her great-nanny neared the end of her life, Hannah had the opportunity to support her through that difficult season. Although losing her was incredibly hard, the experience showed Hannah just how much comfort, dignity and compassionate care can mean to someone and to their family.

She knew then that caregiving was something she wanted to pursue.

One of Hannah’s favourite parts of caring for seniors in their own homes is the relationships that develop.

“Every client has a unique story, and it’s a privilege to be a small part of their journey.”

And something the seniors she has cared for have taught her has stayed with her:

“Sometimes people aren’t trying to give you a hard time, they’re simply having a hard time.”

That perspective has helped Hannah become more patient, understanding and compassionate — and honestly, what a powerful reminder that is for all of us. 💜

To Hannah, being part of R&G means being surrounded by people who genuinely care. She is proud to be part of a team that leads with compassion, treats clients and staff with respect, and puts people first.

When we asked Hannah what makes someone a great caregiver, her answer was beautiful:

Kindness. Respect. Dignity. Compassion.

And, just as importantly, being present, listening and treating every person the way you would want your own family treated.

When Hannah isn’t wearing her caregiver hat, you’ll often find her spending time with her family or behind her camera. 📸

Many people may not know that Hannah also owns and operates her own photography business, where she gets to capture milestones and special memories for families.

And I think that says something pretty special about Hannah — whether she’s caring for someone or capturing an important moment in someone’s life, she has a gift for making meaningful connections.

If she could describe R&G in three words, Hannah chose:

Dedicated. Reliable. Compassionate.

Three words that we’re pretty darn proud to have associated with our team. 💜

Hannah, we’re so grateful you’re one of our Hearts. Thank you for bringing your caring heart, your patience, your compassion and your beautiful perspective to the families we serve.

We’re very lucky to have you. 💜

💜 Meet the Hearts: Faith 💜

Today, we’d love you to meet Faith, one of the caring Hearts who has been part of the R&G family since September 2024. 💜

Faith was born in Kentville and was adopted in 2014, growing up and now calling Windsor home.

When we asked Faith what made her want to become a caregiver, her answer was simple:

“I just knew it was my calling.”

She loves spending time with seniors, getting to know their backgrounds, listening to their stories and, most importantly, helping make their quality of life a little easier. ❤️

For Faith, being part of R&G is about the opportunities that come with being part of our team and learning something new every day.

And when we asked what makes a great caregiver, Faith said:

“Compassionate, caring, loving, always be respectful.”

Pretty much the definition of a Heart. 💜

When Faith isn’t caring for our clients, you’ll probably find her at the gym — six days a week! 🏋️‍♀️ She also loves running, spending time up at the farm with her boyfriend and his family, and making memories with the people she loves.

And clearly, she has a pretty big love for animals too! 🐴🐄

Faith, I’m so thankful you listened to that calling and that it led you to us. Watching you grow as a caregiver and become part of the R&G family has been such a gift.

We are so lucky to have you as one of our Hearts. 💜

💜 WE HAVE SOMETHING TO CELEBRATE! 💜

This morning, we get to share some pretty exciting news…

R&G Infinite Hearts Homecare has been recognized by CommunityVotes Annapolis Valley 2026 — in TWO healthcare categories! 🥹💜

🏆 PLATINUM — Home Health Care
🏆 GOLD — Home Support Services

And honestly… WOW.

When I started R&G Infinite Hearts Homecare, my dream was never simply to build a business.

It was to build something different.

A company where our clients are more than a name on a schedule.
Where families feel heard and supported.
Where our careteam members are valued.
Where kindness matters.
Where showing up, doing the little things, and treating people with dignity never goes out of style.

Today, seeing R&G Infinite Hearts Homecare recognized alongside some of the Valley’s incredible home-care organizations is incredibly humbling.

And this recognition belongs to every single person who has been part of our R&G journey.

To our amazing careteam — THANK YOU. 💜

You are the hands, hearts and faces of R&G. You are the ones who walk through our clients’ doors every day and make a difference in their lives.

To our clients and their families — THANK YOU FOR TRUSTING US.
There is no greater compliment than allowing us into your homes and into the lives of the people you love most.

And to everyone who took the time to vote for us…

Thank you. Truly.
Every vote represents someone who believes in what we’re doing, and that means more than you know.

We are incredibly proud to be:

💜 PLATINUM — Home Health Care
💜 GOLD — Home Support Services

R&G Infinite Hearts Homecare isn’t just growing… we’re making a difference.

And we couldn’t be more grateful to be doing it right here, in the Annapolis Valley. 💜

💜 Meet the Hearts at R&G — Madison “Maddy” Singer 💜

Today, we’re so happy to introduce you to another one of the wonderful Hearts who makes up the R&G family — Madison Singer, or Maddy as we call her. 💜

Maddy grew up right here in Hants County, surrounded by the countryside she loves. For her, home is where there are horses and cows, rivers and farms — “without it, it wouldn’t be home.” 🐴🌾

When we asked Maddy what made her want to become a caregiver, her answer was simple:

“Making a quality out of someone’s life.”

And when she talks about caring for seniors in their own homes, you can hear just how much she believes in the relationships she builds. Maddy loves becoming part of a client’s family, building a rapport, working one-on-one and being there for them throughout their journey.

She describes being part of R&G as feeling supported, having endless opportunities, and being family. 💜

One of the things Maddy wishes more people understood about home care is that it is about so much more than completing a list of tasks.

It’s about preserving someone’s dignity, independence and sense of home.

It’s helping with meals, bathing, medications and housekeeping — but it’s also sitting and listening, being patient, respecting preferences, offering reassurance, sharing a laugh and providing that familiar human connection that can make such a difference in someone’s day.

When we asked Maddy what makes a great caregiver, she said:

“Most importantly, they treat the person they care for as a person first, not simply as someone who needs help.”

That says a lot about the kind of Heart Maddy is. 💜

The seniors she has cared for have taught her some pretty important lessons too:

✨ Always keep smiling
✨ Don’t take things for granted
✨ Live life to the fullest
✨ Take opportunities when they’re given
✨ Never give up and always keep going

And when it comes to brightening someone’s day?

Sit and listen. Smile and laugh.

Sometimes the smallest things really are the biggest things. 💜

Outside of her caregiver hat, Maddy is happiest living her farm girl life — riding horses, spending time with her boyfriend and taking her dog to the barn (because apparently the barn is also the perfect place for dogs who need to visit the horses 😜🐴).

And something you might be surprised to learn about Maddy?

She used to be a corrections officer!

From corrections officer to caregiver, Maddy has brought a unique combination of strength, calmness, compassion and understanding to the R&G team — and we’re so grateful she chose to bring those qualities to our Hearts. 💜

Her favourite things about living and working in the Annapolis Valley are simple:

The people and the surroundings.

And to any family who feels nervous about bringing someone new into their loved one’s home, Maddy has this advice:

“Give it time, worry less and breathe. We’re here for a reason — to give families a lift off their shoulders while bringing quality to their loved ones.”

That’s Maddy. 💜

A country girl with a love for horses, a heart for seniors and a whole lot of compassion for the families she serves.

We’re so happy you’re one of our Hearts, Maddy. 💜

💜 MEET THE HEARTS BEHIND R&G — MELANIE RAWLINS 💜

Today I’m so happy to introduce you to another very special member of our R&G Infinite Hearts Homecare family — Melanie Rawlins. 💜

Melanie has been part of our team for about a year and a half, but our story actually began long before she became a member of my care team.

We first met when R&G was providing care and respite for Melanie’s mom. Melanie and her brother Danny had been doing their very best to care for their mom, but eventually it became too much for a family to manage on their own. That’s when they reached out to us.

I got to know Melanie through those visits, and I fell in love with her heart almost immediately.

When the time eventually came that her mom was no longer safe to remain at home, Melanie had to navigate a very difficult transition. I told her that once she had gone through the necessary steps and felt ready, I would absolutely love for her to consider joining our team.

Thankfully, she said yes. 💜

And I am so very thankful she did.

Melanie is a Bishopville girl through and through. She describes herself as a girl who is “right down to my roots” here, having always called this community home. She says she has never strayed away for too long and that her whole life has been spent here.

She loves the Annapolis Valley and, even more than that, she treasures the people and relationships she has built here — people who have been a true rock for her throughout her life.

When I asked Melanie what she believes makes a great caregiver, her answer was simple:

“Kind, respectful, caring, loving and attentive to our clients.”

And that is Melanie.

She also shared something that really stayed with me:

“The wonderful clients that I am so very fortunate to visit and be with have taught me that life is short and we will likely all be where they are one day. So be kind, loving and caring. Don’t be afraid to smile, laugh and crack jokes. And most of all, show love, compassion and respect to those that mean something special to us.”

That, my friends, is what caregiving is supposed to be about. 💜

Melanie also says that being part of R&G is very special to her because we are her family.

And when I hear that, I realize just how incredibly fortunate I am to have people like Melanie choose to be part of my family too.

There are many things I am proud of when it comes to R&G Infinite Hearts, but the people who wear our name every day are at the very top of that list.

Melanie describes R&G in three words:

Loving.
Caring.
Compassionate.

I couldn’t have said it better myself.

Melanie, thank you for trusting me enough to make that journey from being part of a family we cared for… to becoming one of the people who now cares for other families alongside me.

Thank you for your kindness, your heart, your laughter, your compassion and for the love you bring into the homes of the people we are privileged to serve.

I am incredibly proud to call you one of our R&G hearts. 💜

Meet Melanie.
One of the many beautiful hearts behind R&G Infinite Hearts Homecare. 💜

🎉💜 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SUSAN! 💜🎉

Today we’re celebrating one of those very special people who makes a difference simply by being who she is. 🥰

Susan goes above and beyond for her clients every single day. She brings compassion, patience, kindness and a whole lot of heart to everything she does. She doesn’t just provide care — she makes the people she cares for feel seen, valued, safe and loved. ❤️

And that extra mile she so willingly walks? We notice it. We appreciate it. And we are incredibly blessed to have her as part of our R&G Infinite Hearts family. 🫶🏻

Susan, thank you for all the little things you do that often become the BIG things in someone’s day. Thank you for showing up, for caring deeply, for making people smile and for giving your very best to the people who count on you. 💜

Today is YOUR day! 🎂🥳
I hope you feel just how appreciated and loved you truly are.

💜 Meet the Hearts Behind R&G 💜

Meet Tammy — A Heart for Homecare

If you’ve been part of the R&G family for any length of time, there’s a very good chance you’ve come to know Tammy.

For more than two years, Tammy has been one of the steady, reliable hearts on our careteam—and I am incredibly grateful to have her.

Tammy trained as an LPN, following in the footsteps of her mother, who inspired her love of caring for others from a very young age.

But Tammy soon discovered that facility nursing wasn’t where her heart belonged.

Homecare was. 💜

And honestly, I’m so glad it was.

Tammy has been caring for seniors in their homes for more than 30 years, and that experience shows—not just in the care she provides, but in the calm, patience and compassion she brings into every home.

Tammy grew up in Scott’s Bay, and still calls this beautiful coastal community home. She loves living by the ocean, watching the sunsets, and being part of a small community where neighbours know and look out for one another.

And I think that connection to community is a big part of what makes Tammy such a wonderful caregiver.

Ask Tammy what makes a great caregiver and she won’t give you a complicated answer.

Compassion. Patience. Being present. Listening.

Those simple words tell you so much about her.

Tammy loves spending quality time with the people she cares for—hearing their stories, learning about their lives, and getting to know the person behind the care plan.

Because to Tammy, caregiving isn’t simply about completing tasks.

It’s about being there.

It’s about giving someone your time.

It’s about listening to the story they’ve told you three times because you know it’s still important to them.

It’s about making someone feel seen.

And it’s about creating a relationship where a client can feel safe and comfortable with the person who’s been invited into their home.

When she’s not caring for others, Tammy loves cruising with her husband, thrift shopping, reading, and—most importantly—spending time with her three granddaughters. 💜

And when it comes to families who may feel nervous about welcoming a caregiver into their loved one’s home, Tammy understands.

It’s a big step.

Her message is simple:

“We take the time to answer your questions, get to know your family and make sure your loved one is comfortable. We want them to feel safe and to know they are in good hands.”

That is exactly the kind of reassurance families need to hear.

Tammy, I am so grateful that more than two years ago you chose to become part of this journey with me.

Your reliability has never gone unnoticed. Your compassion never goes unnoticed. And the quiet, patient way you care for people is one of the many things that makes our R&G team so special.

You are one of our steady hearts, Tammy, and I am incredibly proud to have you beside me. 💜

💜 Meet the Hearts Behind R&G 💜

Meet Noala – Assistant Director of Care Services

When I first shared my dream of starting R&G Infinite Hearts Homecare, one of the very first messages I received was from Noala.

She simply said she’d love to be part of the journey.

That meant the world to me.

Noala and I have known each other for many years. We first met while working together at R&G Family Restaurant, and I knew then what I know today—when Noala commits to something, she gives it her whole heart.

There are people who come into your life for a season, and there are people who quietly become part of the foundation you build on.

Noala is one of those people for me.

She believed in my vision from the very beginning, and today she helps ensure that same vision is lived out every single day by the team she supports.

Born and raised in Windsor, with roots in Hantsport and now calling Canning home, she’s proud to call the Annapolis Valley home. She loves the winding back roads between Canning and Annapolis Royal and treasures the incredible people she’s met in every community along the way.

For more than two years, Noala has been one of the steady hearts behind R&G. Today, she serves as our Assistant Director of Care Services, helping support our careteam, coordinating day-to-day care, and making sure our clients continue receiving the dependable, compassionate service they deserve—even when I’m away supporting my own family.

But titles don’t tell you who Noala really is.

She’s someone who finds joy in the little things.

A game of cards.

Looking through treasured family photo albums.

The smell of fresh cinnamon buns on the counter.

Or quietly watching birds at a feeder with someone who simply enjoys the company.

One of my favourite things Noala shared was this:

“My clients may not realize it, but each day I spend with someone, I am taking something home… the desire to be a better person and contribute to my community. To work hard for what I have and know just how important family really is.”

That is Noala.

When she’s not caring for our clients, she’s also a proud Captain with the Canning Fire Department, volunteering countless hours serving her community. Whether she’s teaching children about fire safety, responding to emergencies, or comforting someone through a difficult day, helping others simply seems to be part of who she is.

Families often worry about inviting someone they don’t know into the home of someone they love.

Noala understands that.

She believes those strangers don’t stay strangers for long.

She shares stories about her three granddaughters, talks about her community, finds common connections, and before long, those first-day nerves begin to fade.

If you’ve had the privilege of meeting Noala, you’ll know exactly what I mean.

And if you haven’t…

I can’t wait for you to.

💜 Thank you, Noala, for believing in this dream from the very beginning and for helping carry the heart of R&G every single day. We are so incredibly fortunate to have you. 💜💜

💜 Meet Leslie – The Heart Behind R&G Infinite Hearts Homecare Inc. 💜

Every business has a story. This one begins long before R&G Infinite Hearts Homecare ever existed. 💜

Hi! I’m Leslie, owner of R&G Infinite Hearts Homecare Inc.

As we begin introducing you to the incredible women who make up our careteam, I thought it was only fitting that I go first.

Many people here in the Annapolis Valley knew my family through R&G Family Restaurant. For more than 25 years, I had the privilege of working alongside my dad. Whether we were serving customers in the restaurant or travelling together to trade shows and exhibitions through R&G Consulting, we built more than a business—we built relationships.

Growing up, my parents taught me that success isn’t measured by how many people you serve, but by how well you serve them. They knew their customers by name, celebrated life’s milestones with them, shared in their joys, stood beside them through life’s difficult moments, and treated everyone who walked through our doors like family.

Those lessons never left me.

When the restaurant closed its doors, I wasn’t sure what the next chapter of my life would look like.

What I did know was that I wasn’t ready to leave R&G behind.

People often ask me why I chose the name R&G Infinite Hearts Homecare.

The answer is simple.

R&G was never just a business name to me… it was home.

I’ve often joked with my parents that I was the “L” in R&G.” Once an R&G girl…always an R&G girl. 💜

So when it came time to build something new, there was never really another name.

R&G Infinite Hearts Homecare became my way of honouring my parents and continuing the legacy they began—one built on kindness, compassion, integrity, hard work, and treating people like family.

The address changed.

The heart never did.

Today, instead of serving meals, my team and I have the privilege of helping people remain where they most want to be—at home.

Home is where memories are made. It’s where families gather. It’s where comfort, dignity, and independence matter most. Being invited into someone’s home during one of the most vulnerable seasons of life is a privilege that none of us takes lightly.

One of the things I am most proud of is the incredible team of women who represent R&G. Every one of them is compassionate, dedicated, and deeply rooted here in the Annapolis Valley. Together, we have the honour of caring for our neighbours, just as my family had the privilege of serving this community for so many years.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story.

Over the next several weeks, I’d love to introduce you to the women who have chosen to carry this legacy alongside me.

They are compassionate.

They are dedicated.

They are neighbours, daughters, mothers, sisters, and friends.

Most importantly…

They have hearts as infinite as the name on their shirts. 💜

I can’t wait for you to meet them.

With love and gratitude,

Leslie Harvey 💜

Sunday mornings in our happy place. 🌊💜🐾

Before another week of caring for others, we take a moment to fill our own cups.

Salt air. Sandy paws. Gentle waves. Quiet gratitude.

Self-care isn’t selfish—it’s what allows us to continue showing up with compassion, patience, and loving hearts for the people who count on us every day.

Here’s to filling our hearts before we spend the week pouring them into others. 💜
