Ring's Pharmacy Ring's Pharmacy is located in Hay River, Northwest Territories.

Marlene and Wally Ring established the business in 1963 and their children Gayle Ring, Les Ring and Larry Ring ran the business until 2025, when it was sold to Tim Smith and Josee-Anne Le Dorze. They are a husband-and-wife team of pharmacists who are really happy to be here and to call Hay River their home.

It's that time of year again to reapply for Extended Health Benefits (Alberta Blue Cross) drug coverage from the GNWT.

Each year by September 1, most EHB clients must reapply in order to maintain their coverage.

(Important: Seniors 60 years of age and over and those receiving Metis Health Benefits do NOT need to reapply, so long as your NWT health card is still valid. Also, this does not apply to eligible First Nations and Inuit covered by the federal NIHB program.)

To ensure there is no interruption in your drug coverage, make sure to complete and submit your renewal form ASAP.

Forms are available online at www.gov.nt.ca/ehb or in-person at Ring's Pharmacy (at the pharmacy counter).

You can submit your completed form by snail mail, email ([email protected]), or fax (1-867-777-3197). (We're happy to fax your forms for you at the pharmacy, if you wish.)

We will be open our regular hours (9AM-6PM) on Saturday August 1 and starting again Tuesday August 4.
