Little update:
I am fully immersed in my second semester at Kutenai Art Therapy Institute. This term we become interns and start our clinical practicum placements. We also dive deeply into to Research - art therapy research!

A private member's bill, Bill C-368, has been written to repeal sections of Bill C-47. You might not know that these sections, embedded within the annual budget bill, redefine natural health products (NHP) and subject the entire industry to heightened regulation and excessive fines of up to $5,000,000 per day, by moving them fully into the therapeutic products category, alongside chemical drugs.

If this bill moves through, it will be extremely difficult to obtain NHP status for some of my best products.

On April 18, 2024, Bill C-368 is anticipated to face its second reading in the House of Commons - a critical event including debate, and followed by an official vote. This vote will determine whether the Bill advances to the Standing Committee on Health for further deliberation. We have less than 5 weeks left!

The objective before this crucial date is clear. We need to raise awareness, educate our MPs, and apply as much political pressure as possible to ensure that they vote YES at the second reading of Bill C-368.
