What's the longest you've spent gardening in a single day? Tell us in the comments!

Every June we start seeing the same thing.

The weather gets nice, the gardens need attention, and suddenly people are spending 3-6 hours bending, lifting, twisting, kneeling, and hauling things around the yard.

The problem?

Your body may not be conditioned for "weekend warrior gardening."

Just like you wouldn't jump into a marathon without training, your muscles, joints, and connective tissues appreciate a gradual return to summer activities.

A few minutes of movement beforehand, changing positions often, and taking regular breaks can go a long way toward preventing those next-day aches and pains.

HOW TO: Golf Edition - Diagonal Sling

The common though is that muscles are weak.

in my opinion, the status is incomplete.

We have to look at diagonal slings through the body, where the lower body and the upper body coordinate through the lat as an example.

Another example is the lower trap coming from the opposite shoulder to the opposite hip with the thoracolumbar fascia into the gluteal fascia (hip).

when we start coordinating movements that are more like our sport, the results will be exponential.
