Maskwacis Health Services is Hiring!!

Maskwacis Health Services is currently accepting applications for the position of Medical Lab Assistant (STBBI) in Maskwacis, AB.

This position will support lab collection services at the main health centre in Maskwacis. The successful candidate will help provide safe, efficient, and high-quality laboratory services, including specimen collection, handling, processing, dispatching, testing, performing procedures, and reporting results. The role may also include venipuncture, ECGs, and Holter monitor services for community patients.

Position: Medical Lab Assistant (STBBI)
Location: Maskwacis, AB
Job Type: 1.0 FTE
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7-hour shift
Term: Full-time temporary position until March 31, 2027
Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications
Benefits: Dental care, extended health care, on-site parking, and paid time off

Requirements include:
Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.

Additional required qualifications:
Previous phlebotomy experience and ECG certification.

Preferred qualifications:
At least 2 years of recent phlebotomy experience, ECG experience, and at least 6 months of experience in a Patient Service Centre.

Maskwacis Health Services is Hiring!!

Maskwacis Health Services is currently accepting applications for the position of Client Advocate RN in Maskwacis, AB.

This position will support Indigenous clients and families by providing advocacy, health education, cultural support, maternal-child health support, and assistance connecting clients with services and programs. The successful candidate will work as part of the MHS team and collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, community health nurses, maternal-child programs, and other service providers.

Position: Client Advocate RN
Location: Maskwacis, AB
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM โ€“ 4:30 PM
Term: Until March 31, 2027, with possible 1-year extension
Closing Date: Open until a suitable candidate is found
Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications

Qualifications include:
Completion of a recognized RN program, current CRNA registration in good standing, Basic Cardiac Life Support certification, a valid Class 5 Alberta Driverโ€™s License with a clean driving record, and strong communication and computer skills.

Cree language, Cree traditions and culture knowledge, community/public health experience, maternal-child experience, and research experience are considered assets.

Maskwacis Health Services is currently accepting applications for the position of Community Support Worker (STBBI) in Maskwacis, AB.

This position will support community health and wellness through HIV prevention education, outreach, resource sharing, advocacy, support services, and collaboration with the STBBI team. The successful candidate will help provide accurate information, reduce stigma, support individuals at risk, and connect community members with services and resources.

Position: Community Support Worker (STBBI)
Location: Maskwacis, AB
Job Type: 1.0 FTE
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7-hour shift
Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications
Benefits: Dental care, extended health care, on-site parking, and paid time off

Requirements include:
Experience working with HIV clients or training as a health care provider such as LPN, addictions, mental health support worker, or related experience. Applicants should have knowledge of HIV, addictions, and the social determinants of health, along with strong communication, public speaking, organizational, and outreach skills.

A Cree speaker and knowledge of the Maskwacis geographical area and local resources are considered assets.

Applicants must have a valid Class 5 driverโ€™s license with a clean abstract and a clean criminal record check.
