Whether you are preparing for birth, welcoming a new baby, or looking for opportunities to connect and learn during the early months of parenthood, we would be delighted to have you join us.

Our upcoming offerings include:

✨ Kindermusik — Thursday mornings for babies ages 0–18 months, offering opportunities for music, movement, connection, and early development.

📍East Coast Dance Academy, 5665 St. Margaret's Bay Rd

✨ Birth to Baby Bootcamp — A comprehensive class held over a weekend that is designed to help you feel informed, prepared, and confident as you approach birth and the transition to parenthood.

📍St. Margaret's Bay Community Enterprise Centre, Unit 1, 5229 St. Margaret's Bay Road

✨ Drop-in Doc Talks — Have any questions about your pregnancy/birth/baby/child? Stop on by and we can chat about it. Not medical advice, but an informed conversation in a casual setting with a person who has 6 kids and an MD!

New Waves Maternity has a new location! 🌊

Our childbirth education classes will now be held at the St. Margaret's Bay Community Enterprise Centre in Tantallon. (Kindermusik classes will continue to take place at East Coast Dance Academy).

Same evidence-based education. Same supportive approach. A new space to learn, connect, and grow together.

Come and enjoy powerful learning through musical play with your little one with Kindermusik’s research-based music and movement classes.

Tomorrow is Flora’s Walk for Perinatal Mental Health Care in Bridgewater and I really hope people come out to support it!!

As a mother and doula, this cause is incredibly close to my heart. I see firsthand how many mothers are struggling silently with overwhelm, isolation, anxiety, burnout, postpartum depression, and just the pressure of trying to hold everything together. So many parents are barely surviving while feeling like they’re supposed to be enjoying every second.

The reality is that mothers need more support than they’re getting. They need community. They need people checking in. They need care too.

That’s why events like this matter so much.
Flora’s Walk is happening tomorrow from 11 to 1 at Pijinuiskaq Park. There will be free coffee, kids activities, giveaways, and a really welcoming environment for families and community members to come together.

The funds raised help provide peer support and local doula services for struggling mothers in our community, which is something I believe in so deeply.

If you’re local, please come walk with us! Bring your kids, your stroller, your friends, your partner, whoever. Even just showing up helps send the message that mothers deserve support and care.

And if you can’t make it, please consider donating or sharing the event. You never know who might need to see it!
