Kimchi is always on my BFF list. This study confirms its potent immune supporting and anti cancerous properties. đź’š
In this study, kimchi enhanced immune system’s ability to recognize threats and mount an appropriate response. 💪. This is important because we want our immune system to detect things like cancer cells and pathogens, but without overacting with excessive systemic inflammation. 🔥 Kimchi does just that: effective immune response, but not too much!
Fermented foods nourish our gut microbiome. Most of our immune system is in the gut.
What we eat influences how we heal and function. 🌱
If spicy kimchi isn’t your thing, other fermented foods include sauerkraut, kefir, unsweetened yogurt, miso, and traditionally fermented pickles.
