You’ve spent so long holding everything together, pushing through and doing what needed to be done that survival mode has started to feel normal.
Even when you finally have an opportunity to rest, your mind and body may not know how to let go.
Feel to Heal: From Survival Mode to Safety is a gentle, supportive 2.5-hour workshop designed to help you understand why this happens—and introduce practical ways to create space for difficult emotions, reconnect with yourself and experience moments of greater calm and safety.
During this intimate workshop, grief coach Julie Derks will guide you through education, personal reflection and practical emotional-support tools to help you:
• Understand what survival mode can look and feel like
• Recognize your own protective patterns with greater compassion
• Explore why rest can sometimes feel unfamiliar or uncomfortable
• Learn gentle tools for feeling emotions without becoming overwhelmed
• Create your own personal return-to-safety plan
Trauma-Informed Yoga instructor Jaime Burnham will then lead an accessible, supportive yoga practice focused on grounding, choice, release and rest.
We will also take a mindful walk through the beautiful farm gardens, weather permitting, allowing space to connect with our senses and let the workshop teachings settle.
No previous yoga experience is required. Everything offered during the workshop is invitational, and you will always be encouraged to honour your own body and participate in the way that feels right for you.
You don’t need to be “falling apart” to deserve support.
