A little update from me 💛

I honestly can’t believe I’m writing this, but my schedule has become completely full.

For now, I’m no longer able to accept new patients for the remainder of 2026. I want to make sure I continue to have enough time for the patients already in my care and that I never compromise the kind of care and attention I want each person to receive.

But my waitlist is absolutely still open. 💛

If you’ve been hoping to become a patient, please feel free to join my waitlist. Beginning in January 2027, I’ll start reaching out to those waiting as space becomes available.

To everyone who has trusted me with their care, recommended me to a friend or family member, shared my name in a community group, or simply supported my little business, thank you.

What started as an idea to bring more personal, nurse-led care into my community has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of, and that is entirely because people have trusted me to care for them and the people they love.

I’m still here. I’m still caring for my existing patients. And I’m looking forward to welcoming some new faces in the new year. 💛

An infection can start small. Sepsis can become life-threatening quickly.

Sepsis happens when the body has an overwhelming response to an infection and that response begins affecting the whole body and vital organs.

It can start with something as common as a UTI, pneumonia, skin or wound infection, dental infection, or other infection.

The key is to watch the PERSON not just the infection.

New confusion, extreme weakness or sleepiness, rapid or difficult breathing, a very fast heartbeat, pale or clammy skin, dizziness, very little urine, or a sudden decline can all be warning signs.

Older adults may not develop a high fever. Sometimes the first sign is simply that they suddenly seem confused, weak, unusually tired, or “not themselves.”

Sepsis is a medical emergency. If someone with a known or suspected infection is becoming rapidly or severely unwell, seek emergency medical attention.

Know the signs. Notice the change. Act early. ❤️

💙 A Little Scheduling Update & A BIG Thank You 💙

To all of my wonderful clients, thank you so much for your patience while you wait for your upcoming appointment times.

As many of you know, I am already a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) and have been continuing my nursing education to further expand my knowledge and scope of practice. I am now preparing to begin my final hospital clinical rotation as I work toward completing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) 🎓

It has been a long journey getting to this point! Over the years, I’ve been balancing university, clinical placements, running my nursing and foot care practice, caring for my wonderful clients, and, most importantly, raising my family. There have definitely been some very full days along the way. ❤️

One of the biggest reasons I chose to continue my education was to broaden my nursing knowledge and clinical experience so that I can continue providing increasingly comprehensive nursing care within my community. I’m excited to take everything I’ve learned through this journey and bring it back into the care I provide every day.

Right now, I am patiently waiting to receive my hospital rotation schedule. Until I have those dates, I’m unable to finalize some of my upcoming client appointments. I know many of you like to have your next visit booked before I leave, and I truly appreciate your patience and flexibility while we navigate these next few months.

As soon as my hospital schedule arrives, I’ll be working through my calendar and getting everyone booked in. 💙

I feel incredibly fortunate to have built a practice filled with such kind, supportive and understanding clients. Many of you have been with me through a good portion of this journey, and your encouragement has meant more to me than you probably realize.

Thank you for supporting my small business, trusting me as your nurse, and allowing me to continue learning and growing so that I can provide even better care to the community I’m so fortunate to serve.

Did you know you can hire a nurse independently? 👩‍⚕️

A lot of people still think nursing care only happens in hospitals, doctors’ offices or through publicly funded home care.

But nurses can also work independently in the community providing nursing services within their individual scope, education and training.

That can include things like:

• Nursing foot care
• Nursing assessments & vital signs
• Health monitoring and education
• Wound care and follow-up
• Urine dipstick screening with appropriate follow-up/referral guidance
• Support before or after medical appointments
• Attending appointments to help advocate, listen and understand the plan
• Helping families navigate healthcare services
• Recognizing changes that may need assessment by a physician or NP

This can be especially helpful for seniors, people with mobility challenges, busy families, and adult children trying to coordinate care for an aging parent.

Independent nursing isn’t about replacing your doctor or diagnosing every problem.

Sometimes it’s about having a nurse come to you, take a closer look at what’s going on, provide appropriate nursing care and help you figure out what the next step should be.

Healthcare can be difficult to navigate.

Sometimes having a nurse in your corner makes it a little easier. 💙

A very unexpected surprise this morning. 🥹🥇

A client messaged to congratulate me on receiving Gold in CommunityVotes Simcoe County 2026, and that’s actually how I found out I had won. I hadn’t been following or promoting the contest this year.
