Kamloops Therapeutic Riding Association

Kamloops Therapeutic Riding Association KTRA offers therapeutic riding for children and adults with a wide range of disabilities. https://boogiethebridge.com/volunteer/

KTRA's riding lessons benefits the riders by using the motivating medium of horse care and riding we draw an individual’s attention to their strengths, successes and most importantly build self-esteem. Through horse care and riding we will teach those social and behavior skills necessary to function and succeed in a social world. It is these skills that are vital to self-esteem and ultimately determine the place a person fills in this society.

πŸŽ‰ Happy Belated Birthday, Gio! πŸŽ‰

On May 29, our handsome bay gelding Gio celebrated his 20th birthday! πŸ΄πŸ’™

Owned by KTRA, Gio’s registered name is Giovanni JS. He is a Registered Canadian Warmblood, with his dam being the Quarter Horse Dustys Miss Tiffany.

Gio is pictured looking very proud in his Birthday Boy hat, and one of his riders made him a very special horse-friendly birthday cake to help celebrate his big day! πŸŽ‚πŸ₯•πŸŽ

Over the years, Gio has become a cherished member of our herd, sharing his kind nature, steady presence, and athleticism with so many riders. We are grateful for all the confidence, joy, and special memories he helps create.

Please join us in wishing Gio a very happy (belated) birthday and many more years of adventures ahead! 🎈🎁

Gio and Brian had a little field trip today to get ready for the upcoming Kamloops Dressage for a Cause show with their riders! 🐴✨

A change of scenery, some practice away from home, and lots of good experience to help build confidence before show day. Both boys were absolute stars and we’re so proud of how they handled the adventure.

We can’t wait to cheer on our riders at Kamloops Dressage for a Cause! πŸ’™
