It helps us reflect on:

- what feels known and visible
- what we keep private
- what others may notice before we do
- and what is still unknown or unfolding

I love this model because it invites ๐—ฐ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ผ๐˜€๐—ถ๐˜๐˜† ๐—ถ๐—ป๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐˜€๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ฒ.

Telling someone to 'try harder' doesn't help.
Telling someone to 'do more' doesn't help.

What helps is slowly supporting that person to understand where their capacity currently is and encouraging them to honour that.

That's what helps us come back into balance.

The focus paradox is something many AUDHDers understand well! We are pulled to deep dive focus on those things that are facinating and loose site of everything else - and then we struggle to focus and complete mundane tasks that drain us.ย 

Sound familiar!

Here are some tips to help you if you are struggling with this

1) Be who you are and honour that

2) Use timers if you are going to deep dive focus so you can take bio breaks or donโ€™t miss the next thing coming up

3) Use a body double for mundane tasks like cleaning.ย 

4) Take breaks and make the boring fun!ย
