“Must I look in a special kind of way?”
“No. The ordinary way will do.”
“But don‘t I always look the ordinary way?”
“No.”
“Why ever not?”
“Because to look you must be here. You‘re mostly somewhere else.”

The Bible - A Metaphysical Perspective: This lecture was given on Palm Sunday and begins with a reading from the book of Matthew on Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, signifying wealth rather than poverty. Additional Bible verses shared give one pause to consider if they are truly the words of God.

Thomas Paine’s Age of Reason is examined alongside this reflection. Changes in the wording of the Bible down through history, as well as metaphysical study including seance activities give a deeper perspective into what may or may not constitute truth.

It’s called the “overview effect,” a term coined by science author and philosopher Frank White in 1987. It refers to a shift in perspective that occurs when humans are given the chance to view Earth in the context of its cosmic backdrop — driving home how perfectly suited the planet is for our habitation…

“What you realize is every single person that you know is sustained” by the thin band of atmosphere, which is visible in its entirety from space, Christina Koch (the first woman to travel around the moon) previously said of her experience at the space station. “…You don’t see borders, you don’t see religious lines, you don’t see political boundaries. All you see is Earth and you see that we are way more alike than we are different.”

“Returning to Earth after such an experience leaves astronauts with a choice. Are you going to try to live your life a little differently?” Victor Glover (the pilot of Artemis 2 and first black person to travel to the moon) told NASA. “Are you going to really choose to be a member of this community of Earth?”
