Shame has a particular texture. It's not just guilt about something you did. it's a belief about who you are.
And it thrives in exactly one condition: silence.
When we don't name shame, it grows. It shapes how we move through the world, who we let close, what we allow ourselves to want. It tells us we're the exception. that other people can be messy and imperfect and still okay, but we cannot.
Paige's training in shame-informed care shapes almost everything that happens in the therapy room. Because underneath so much of what brings people in. anxiety, burnout, difficulty asking for help. there is usually shame doing its quiet, corrosive work.
You don't have to be doing it wrong to deserve support. You just have to be human.
