Home sharing is a rewarding, paid opportunity that gives adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities the freedom to choose where they live, thrive as independent adults, and share a home with a Home Share Provider. Home share services are offered in many ways. Some people live with a family, others live with a roommate or a couple, and some may live in a separate suite that is part of the home. Yesterday was Earth Day 💚 Some of our groups engaged with nature at Helen's Acres Community Farm, while others went to pick up trash in the community through our Adopt-a-Stream partnership 🌳🐓 We are so grateful for all that this beautiful planet offers, and for these community programs that allow us to help make a difference!

National Volunteer Week is running from April 19-25 this year, focusing on the theme "Ignite Volunteerism". This annual, week-long celebration highlights the vital contributions volunteers make to communities through their time, energy, and dedication. The 2026 theme celebrates the power of participation, encouraging people to "Find Your Thing" and reconnect with their communities.

Pathways individuals volunteer at several different locations in the Kelowna Area, contributing and giving back to their community.

This March 31st, we recognize International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV), a day dedicated to celebrating the lives, contributions, and resilience of transgender people. Let us continue to shift the narrative beyond challenges, and instead centre visibility, empowerment, and the right to live authentically.

On 31 March, the world marks International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV), a day dedicated to celebrating the lives, contributions, and resilience of transgender people. Established in 2010 by trans advocate Rachel Crandall, TDOV was created to shift the narrative beyond challenges, and instead centre visibility, empowerment, and the right to live authentically.

This year’s theme, “Stand Visible. Stand Together.”, reflects the urgent need for solidarity, safety, and collective power, especially at a time when many trans and gender-diverse communities continue to face stigma, discrimination, and shrinking spaces. Visibility must go hand in hand with support, protection, and action.
