There was a time when I truly believed I would never feel joy again.
After losing my husband and my son, hope felt so far away.
I wasn’t thinking about next year.
Some days, I wasn’t even thinking about tomorrow.
I just focused on getting through the next hour.
Then, little by little, something began to change.
Not because I stopped missing them.
Not because the grief disappeared.
But because I slowly started allowing myself to live again.
One walk.
One conversation.
One smile that caught me by surprise.
One moment of peace.
I still carry my husband and my son with me every single day.
I always will.
But I’ve learned that grief and hope can exist together.
If you’re grieving today, I want you to know this:
Even if you can’t feel hope right now, it doesn’t mean it’s gone.
Sometimes hope is simply taking the next breath.
Sometimes it’s believing that tomorrow might feel just a little lighter than today.
And one day, without even realizing it, you’ll notice something beautiful…
You’ll smile.
Not because you’ve forgotten.
But because love is still with you, and life has slowly begun to grow around your grief.
I’m living proof that both can exist together. 💜
