"In my hardest moments, COHA provided a light amongst the dark."

Through counselling, a spousal loss grief group, and wellness programs like Reiki and yoga, Yasmine found something she didn't expect: people who truly understood.

This year, she will attend the Butterfly Effect for the very first time. The Butterfly Effect is a community gathering to honour those we've lost and to be reminded that grief is not a journey anyone needs to navigate alone.

⛳ Legacy on the Links is COHA's inaugural charity golf tournament , and every swing directly supports compassionate care for over 1,100 individuals and families navigating illness and grief in the Central Okanagan.

The Butterfly Effect presented by Harmony Honda brings our community together to share memories and honour our loved ones.

Join us on Saturday, June 20th at Falcon Ridge Farms to share in the release of 400 butterflies. Be sure to get your butterflies before they sell out.

Grief can feel especially isolating for children and youth. There is often a sense that no one around them truly understands.

This summer, COHA is offering a unique opportunity for young people ages 6–18 to find connection, community, and a little lightness out on the water.

🌊 Sponsored by the Kelowna Yacht Club, Two Days on the Lake helps support children and youth who have experienced the loss of a loved one.

Activities include sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding, wake surfing, and tubing, alongside others who truly get it.
📅 Ages 6–12: July 21st & 22nd 📅 Ages 13–18: June 28th & 29th

Space is limited to 8 participants per session. There are no barriers to access this program.

The Butterfly Effect represents so much more than raising funds to support our grief and bereavement programs. Instead, it is a reminder that grief is a collective, and that we can make a difference in the lives of those navigating grief & loss through the access to COHA’s many services for all ages.
