🇨🇦 Happy Canada Day from Maya & Ty! ❤️🤍
While many of us are enjoying BBQs, celebrations, and fireworks, remember that today can feel very different for our four-legged family members.
Fireworks can be overwhelming for a dog’s nervous system. Even the most confident dogs may experience stress, anxiety, pacing, panting, trembling, or a desire to hide.
A few simple ways to help your dog feel safer tonight:
🐾 Keep them indoors before the fireworks begin.
🐾 Close windows and curtains to help reduce noise.
🐾 Play calming music or white noise.
🐾 Offer a safe, quiet space where they can retreat if they need to.
🐾 Stay calm yourself—our dogs often look to us for cues about whether they’re safe.
A regulated nervous system doesn’t mean a dog never feels fear—it means they have the support they need to return to a place of safety.
Wishing you and your furry family members a safe, happy, and peaceful Canada Day! 🇨🇦❤️
