🌸🚐 A Blooming Success at the Apple Blossom Parade! 🚐🌸

What an incredible weekend for New Vision!

Our participants and staff came together to create and showcase a fantastic parade entry at the Valley Apple Blossom Festival in Town of Kentville, and we are thrilled to share that we were awarded 2nd Place for Floats! 🏆🥈

From the planning and decorating to waving at the crowds along the parade route, this was truly a team effort that highlighted the spirit, creativity, and dedication of everyone involved. With beautiful weather, smiling faces, and thousands of spectators lining the streets, it was a perfect day to celebrate community and inclusion.

Events like these provide wonderful opportunities for our participants to engage with the community, build connections, create lasting memories, and proudly showcase the amazing people who make New Vision such a special organization. Seeing participants and staff working side-by-side, sharing laughs, and receiving so much support from the crowd was truly inspiring.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring our float to life and to the community members who cheered us on throughout the day. We are proud to be part of such a welcoming and vibrant community.

Congratulations to everyone involved on an outstanding achievement and a day filled with fun, friendship, and unforgettable memories! 💙

What an incredible celebration for a very special young man on his birthday! 🎉💙

The day was filled with smiles, laughter, and so many meaningful moments shared with friends, family, and staff. The celebrations started at home surrounded by people who care deeply about him, before continuing the fun with another birthday party at 's Place filled with joy, excitement, and community spirit.

These are the moments that truly matter — creating memories, building connections, and celebrating each person for who they are.

We are so thankful for the opportunity to work alongside amazing community organizations like Tracy's Place to help support the happiness, fulfillment, and inclusion of our participants each and every day. Seeing everyone come together to make someone feel celebrated and valued is what community is all about. 💙

Our participants enjoyed roasting marshmallows, sharing laughs, and spending quality time together under the evening sky. These simple moments create lasting memories, strengthen friendships, and remind us how important it is to slow down and enjoy life’s little joys. ❤️

Over the past week, two of our Participants worked with their Shelburne County Special Olympics Team to raise money for their summer provincial games trip to STFX in July. They held a bake sale at Barrington 's Canada McHappy Days that raised over $250. Our participants also volunteered at a breakfast for their fellow team mate that will be competing in the Special Olympics National games held in Medicine Hat. Way to go Athletes!

Sunshine, smiles, and unforgettable moments ☀️💙

From the Valley to Dartmouth, it’s been an incredible stretch of connection and community! From a potluck full of laughter and great company, to getting out and about for East Side Mario's and some city shopping — the energy has been amazing.

Participants have been fully engaged, enjoying the beautiful weather and making the most of every opportunity to be out in the community. Whether it was spinning the wheel at Tracy's Place , stepping up to the plate with S.H.I.F.T baseball ⚾️, or simply sharing laughs together — these are the moments that matter most.
