✨ Meet the Mane Street Salon Family ✨
Have you ever walked into a place and instantly felt like you belonged?
That’s exactly what many people say when they walk into Mane Street Salon — “It feels like everyone here knows each other.”
That was always the dream when I opened the doors almost 13 years ago. I wanted to create a salon that felt warm, welcoming, and a little like home — a place where clients aren’t just names in an appointment book, but people we genuinely care about.
You might even recognize a few familiar faces in our chairs — Kimberley is a small town, and our salon family reflects that. 🧡
Each stylist at Mane Street brings their own personality, specialties, and loyal clients who help make our little salon community so special.
✂️ Melanie – Owner
Melanie opened Mane Street Salon nearly 13 years ago with a vision of creating a cozy, friendly space where people feel comfortable the moment they walk through the door.
She loves creating beautiful colour transformations, especially rich reds and coppers, and she has a soft spot for those loyal six-week root touch-ups that bring clients back regularly for a visit and a good catch-up. For Melanie, the best part of the job has always been the relationships built over the years.
✂️ Dodi – The Perm Queen
Dodi has been styling hair in our community for many years and has built an incredibly loyal following along the way. Known affectionately as our Perm Queen, she loves cutting, perms, and of course a great conversation.
Dodi might also be the most active senior we know — always out walking and chatting around town. Behind the chair she has a way of making clients feel comfortable, catching up on life, and somehow always knowing more about you than you remember telling her. We absolutely love having Dodi as part of the Mane Street family.
✂️ Jessalyn – Creative Colour & Barbering
Jessalyn joined our team after leaving Cranbrook to enjoy the more personalized salon experience that Mane Street offers. The moment she walked through the door she said it felt like everyone already knew each other, and she instantly loved the relaxed, home-like atmosphere.
She loves creating vibrant vivid colours and soft pastels, reflecting both sides of her creative personality. Jessalyn also brings her professional barbering skills, offering men’s cuts, fades, facial hair grooming, and hot shave experiences. She has a natural way of connecting with clients and making them feel confident, special, and beautiful.
✂️ Hailey – Balayage & Lived-In Colour
Our newest addition, Hailey, brings a calm and sweet presence to the salon. Though soft-spoken, she carries a quiet confidence behind the chair and a real passion for her craft.
Hailey loves transforming clients through their colour journey, specializing in soft lived-in balayages and beautifully blended highlights that grow out naturally and effortlessly. Young and incredibly talented, she has a warm personality and subtle sense of humour that makes clients feel instantly comfortable.
