Has anyone ever said to you that you have a short leg or a leg length discrepancy?

Did you know it is often caused by the soft tissues i.e. muscles pulling the leg up into your pelvis?

A short leg is not something you are born with which would be genetic in nature. Usually, unless you have had a severe bone break, your legs would be equal in length. The short leg actually causes a scoliosis in the spine (S shape) leading to pain and disfunction in various areas of the back, such as lower back, shoulders and/or neck. This might sound scary, but this is the normal involuntary righting mechanism of your body.

It CAN be reversed!
Contraction Release Therapy (CRT) (copyrighted) is a newer massage technique that can release these tightened muscles giving you equal leg length again. This will in turn reduce the scoliosis and therefore your pain and dysfunction.

If your therapist is not tackling the areas causing the pain and dysfunction and only working through the back, your symptoms will never get better over time. As this is a newer technique, not many therapists offer this amazing technique. This is also very effective with piriformis syndrome, thoracic outlet syndrome/carpal tunnel syndrome and trigger finger (these mimic each other).
