Juicing is the best way to give your body a break from processed and cooked foods. Raw vegetables and fruits are naturally high in enzymes and nutrients! A juice cleanse is designed to allow our body to use less energy on digesting solid foods and more energy on healing your body back to optimum health! Or, as I recommend, you can juice every day as a power boost of nutrition! Three days before starting a juice cleanse, you should drink hot water with lemon and ginger, and tea; eliminate any caffeine, sugars, and meat. If you are a first time cleanser, depending on your level of detoxification, you may experience lightheadness and/or some nausea. These symptoms go away after your body gets used to the detox cleanse, usually after 24 hours. But, after a couple days, you will start to feel a lot more energized and revitalized! After doing a 1-3 day cleanse, and once you understand how your body responds to the cleanse, I recommend having a juice daily as a multivitamin and trying longer cleanses.
