💐Récemment, nous avons eu le privilège d’accueillir les proches des patients décédés entre le 1er janvier 2025 et le 31 mars 2026 lors de notre Célébration de la vie, tenue à la Maison funéraire Voluntas Commemoration.

Ce moment empreint de douceur et de recueillement nous a permis d’honorer la mémoire de vos êtres chers. Pour notre équipe de soins de soutien, ce fut particulièrement touchant de retrouver certaines des familles qu’elle a eu le privilège d’accompagner.

Merci d’avoir partagé ce moment avec nous. Ce fut un immense honneur de célébrer la vie et l’héritage de vos êtres chers à vos côtés. 💜

💐Recently, we had the privilege of welcoming the loved ones of patients who passed between January 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026, to our Celebration of Life, held at Voluntas Commemoration.

This gentle and meaningful gathering allowed us to honour the memory of your loved ones. For our Supportive Care Team, it was especially touching to reconnect with some of the families they had the privilege of supporting.

Thank you for sharing this moment with us. It was an honour to celebrate the lives and legacies of your loved ones by your side. 💜

🌮 Notre BBQ annuel Teresa-Dellar pour employés et bénévoles a une fois de plus été un magnifique moment de rassemblement!

Au menu : un beau soleil, de la musique, de la crème glacée, des breuvages rafraîchissants et, bien sûr, de délicieux tacos! 😋
Un grand merci à Roi du Taco Express d’avoir été des nôtres et d’avoir contribué à faire de cette journée un succès.

🌮 Our annual Teresa-Dellar BBQ for employees and volunteers was once again a magnificent gathering!

The day featured some warm sunshine, music, ice cream, refreshing drinks and, of course, delicious tacos! 😋

👮‍♀️💜 Au cours des mois de mai et juin, Cynthia, notre gestionnaire du développement communautaire, s’est jointe aux postes du SPVM de l’Ouest-de-l’Île dans le cadre de l’initiative annuelle « Opération Visiter une personne aînée 2026 avec le SPVM ».

Ce programme vise à repérer les personnes aînées vivant de l’isolement ou d’autres défis grâce à des visites à domicile effectuées par des équipes composées de policiers et d’organismes communautaires, puis à leur offrir les ressources et services appropriés pour les soutenir.

Nous sommes très fiers de contribuer à cette belle initiative qui favorise la sécurité, le bien-être et le soutien des citoyens les plus vulnérables de notre communauté. Merci encore au SPVM de nous permettre de participer à ce projet annuel si important!

Un merci tout spécial à nos agents sociocommunautaires de l’Ouest-de-l’Île pour leur engagement et leur dévouement! 🙏

👮‍♀️💜 During May & June, Cynthia, our Community Development Project Manager, joined the West Island SPVM stations as part of their annual “2026 Operation - Visiting an Older Adult with the SPVM” initiative.

This program aims to identify older adults in the area experiencing isolation or other various challenges through door-to-door visits conducted by teams of police officers and community organizations and by offering appropriate resources and services to help them.

We are so proud to contribute to this amazing project that promotes the safety, well-being and support of vulnerable citizens in our community! Thank you once again to the SPVM for allowing us to take part in this important annual initiative!

A special thanks to our local West Island Community Officers for their dedication! 🙏

Depuis huit ans, la Mise en liberté des papillons est un moment de souvenir et de solidarité précieux au profit de la Résidence. Au fil des ans, cette tradition a permis d’amasser plus de 100 000 $ pour soutenir des soins empreints de compassion.

Cette année, la tradition se poursuit avec le certificat numérique papillon. En faisant un don de 40 $, vous recevez un certificat personnalisé en hommage à une personne qui vous est chère.

Nous rendons également hommage à la mémoire de Pat Empsall, une bénévole exceptionnelle qui a fondé et dirigé la Mise en liberté des papillons de 2018 à 2024. Son héritage perdure à travers chaque geste de commémoration.

For the last eight years, the Butterfly Release has been a meaningful moment of remembrance and connection in support of the Residence. Over the years, this tradition has raised more than $100,000 to help provide compassionate care.

This year, the tradition continues with the digital butterfly certificate. With a $40 donation, you receive a personalized certificate in memory of someone dear to you.

We also honour the memory of Pat Empsall, an exceptional volunteer who founded and led the Butterfly Release from 2018 to 2024. Her legacy lives on through every gesture of remembrance.

🎶💜 Quel beau succès pour Jamboree ’26 – Concerts pour la Compassion !

Un immense merci à tous les participants, bénévoles, musiciens, commanditaires et organisateurs qui ont contribué à faire de cette journée un moment mémorable.

Nous souhaitons adresser un merci tout particulier à Nauth, the Lindsay Place Alumni Foundation , Wayne Blunt et ’s Pub pour leur dévouement et leur travail dans l'organisation de cet événement au profit de la Résidence, de Voyage De Reves Montréal Dreams Take Flight et de l’ Shriners pour enfants. Nous tenons également à remercier Sharon Hyland et Bilal de CHOM 97 7 d'avoir animé la soirée.

Et, après quelques journées d'incertitude côté météo, nous étions particulièrement heureux que la pluie nous ait épargnés pour le spectacle Damn Truth! ☀️

Supporting frontline workers with accessible, role-based -tiveCare training will help strengthen workforce confidence, improve resident and family experience, and support better outcomes across Canada’s long-term care system.

A coordinated national standard would help ensure providers across Canada have access to the training, tools and workforce sup-port needed to provide compassionate care when it matters most.
